Over the years, Phasmophobia’s ghost roster has grown, with new types of beings joining the hunt and being introduced as potential candidates haunting the map during your investigations. The Kormos is a later addition to the roster, so you may need some extra help identifying it.

Every ghost is unique, with an array of official evidence and other behaviors you can watch out for to have an easier time identifying them. All ghosts that weren’t around when the game first launched can be a bit trickier to catch, as you haven’t had as much time and experience dealing with them. If this ghost is giving you trouble, here’s how to identify a Kormos in

Screenshot by Destructoid In addition to the official forms of evidence listed in your journal, the Kormos also has an array of unofficial behaviors, patterns, and other such clues you can watch out for. These are entirely unique to only the Kormos, so if you study them closely, you can technically catch this ghost with no official evidence at all. Here are all of the unique behaviors the Kormos has outside of its official evidence.

  • This ghost cannot see, which means it cannot detect players visually.
  • To make up for its lack of sight, the Kormos has enhanced hearing.
  • The hunt threshold for this ghost changes. By default, it’s 50 percent, but it increases to 70 percent if a player sprints in the same room as it.
  • The Kormos is the only ghost that cannot see players visually through line of sight during a hunt.
  • This ghost can only detect players during a hunt by listening for active electronic equipment on them or voice chat usage.
  • The Kormos ignores all obstacles, which means it can kill players regardless of what’s between them and their target as soon as they get within 1.5 meters of them.
  • This ghost can’t perform the mist ball event or other similar chase-based ghost hunt events.
