The Season 2 mid-season update is coming soon to Overwatch, and not long is left for it to go live. If you've been enjoying the new content the second season has offered so far, there's more coming our way.

But first, let's look at when the new content will be available for us to enjoy.

Overwatch Season 2 mid-season update release countdown
The mid-season update for the second season will go live on Tuesday, May 12. The launch will be simultaneous across all platforms, and the following countdown will expire once the update goes live.

  • 11am PT
  • 1pm CT
  • 2pm ET
  • 6pm UTC
  • 7pm BST
This is the usual schedule that Blizzard follows when it comes to major in-game updates. Any change prior to launch will be duly updated in this guide. The pre-download is also available, so you can install the patch before it actually goes live.
