Screenshot by Destructoid Yep. They're gone. The Steam Controller went live at 12pm CT this afternoon, and within about 45 minutes, it was showing up as out of stock. I'm sure stock will be refreshed soon enough, but this proves some high demand for the latest new toy on the market.

The Steam Controller, even with its ugly touchpads taking up the bottom half of it, sounds like a solid item. TMR joysticks, haptic motors for vibration, and apparently 35 or more hours on a single charge, sounds like a joy. I'm personally more interested in the Steam Machine, which is still supposed to come out this year, but the Controller goes hand in hand with it, so I'm curious.

Personally, I'm still fine with my DualSense controller for PC gaming needs, but I do think that Valve's new hardware is quite enticing despite the price tag. Maybe I'll save up for the inevitable restock...
