Diamond Member Steam 0 Posted April 26 Diamond Member Share Posted April 26 This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up After establishing itself as one of the best horror games ever made, Alien: Isolation has remained the sole Creative Assembly title in that genre, with the company focusing on producing its other franchises over the last 12 long years. But now, a new trailer for the Alien: Isolation sequel has come out, and while brief, it teases the next location that we'll be given to explore and survive in. The trailer essentially zooms in on a station door, which, when opened, shows a brief glimpse of the world outside: a harsh planet caught in a brutal storm. It's dark, immediately perilous from first glance, and likely the place we'll have to go out to instead of the previous game's Sevastopol Station. One of the most iconic planets, which has a confirmed human presence on it, is LV-426, also known as Acheron, which appears in the first and second Alien movies. Whether the climate shown can appear on that planet is unclear to me, but it'd be a good place to choose given its recognizable status in the franchise. Of course, today, April 26, is also the so-called Alien Day, itself a reference to the planet LV-426. If we're going to go full tinfoil hat on this, I'd say that alone points to the setting of this next game, but let's be real: no one truly knows what ***** and CA are cooking behind closed doors. ***** also launched This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up for whatever this sequel turns out to be, but also included no details other than the trailer so far. We've been aware of an Alien: Isolation sequel for years now, as This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up , some 10 years after the game's initial release. The first title allegedly had "poor sales," as it shipped "only" over two million copies, which was likely the reason behind its long, long time spent in... isolation. As the Alien franchise is slowly but surely making a mainstream comeback, what with Alien: Romulus and Alien: Earth coming out back to back, it could be that ***** now has new partnerships or reasons to ship another game in the series, which this time will hopefully sell "better."
