, ARC Raiders production director Caio Braga says the team is well aware of players' thirst for more endgame content, which is being developed alongside ongoing balancing changes throughout the year.

"It is one of the things we want to keep working on," Braga said of increasing difficulty and adding more endgame content. "We want to challenge the players. Especially the players that are reaching the end of our content. We want more for them. I want them to have more to do, and because they are at the end of it, it's also important that we challenge them more and more. It is something we want to continue doing, but always giving players tools as well so that other players can partake of the fun."

The endgame fun has been scant thus far, with a few updates this year already adding minor changes like map conditions, projects, and some new enemy types, along with cosmetic content for the in-game store. Many players feel as though they have inventories full of weapons and items and not much to use them for.

And when it comes to making a live-service game like this that evolves over time with new content to try and keep players engaged, Braga says he and the team of about 120 people at Embark Studios are up to the task.

"Balancing is always, not really a problem, but something we keep top of mind all the time," Braga said. "That is one thing. It's all new to us, the live environment with this amount of players. We've been trying to identify what are the most impactful updates we can give to players. There are a few things that we see that are more engaging and some others less engaging, and because we're not a huge team, optimizing for that impact is something that we are learning and trying to do better and better in every update."

ARC Raiders' Flashpoint update arrives next week on March 31, and the large-scale Eventides update is coming in April, adding a highly requested new map to the game along with a new large ARC enemy and more.
