A man is in a critical condition after setting himself on ***** outside the New York court where former US President Donald Trump’s ********* trial is taking place.

BBC reporter Nada Tawfik was at the scene and says she saw the young man throw some pamphlets in the air before setting himself on *****.

The man’s motive is unknown.
