has announced Edge Game Assist, a way for players to get tips and guides while playing PC games.

Described as a “seamless, full-featured in-game browser”, Game Assist lets players bring up a bespoke version of the Edge browser as part of the Game Bar overlay.

The browser is game-aware, meaning if the player has a compatible game running the browser will automatically suggest tips and guides for that particular game.

However, it can also work with any game, with the player able to manually search for help online.

The browser can be pinned on top of the screen if desired, meaning players can work their way through a particular section with a guide always visible to them. Players can also bring up

Game Assist shares the same browser data and cookies with the full version of Edge, meaning players with saved login details don’t have to log in again mid-game.
