Insomniac pays tribute to Spider-Man 2 actor Tony Todd, who has *****

Veteran film, television and video game actor Tony Todd has passed away at the age of 69.

Todd’s most recent video game performance was in Spider-Man 2, where he was the voice of Venom.

Spider-Man 2 developer Insomniac Games has posted a message on its official X account, paying tribute to Todd.

“Insomniac Games is heartbroken by the passing of our friend Tony Todd,” the statement reads.

“He brought so much joy to our studio during the production of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and to many fans around the world with his inimitable voice and presence. We are Venom… forever.”

Todd will posthumously appear in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which is set for release on December 9.

Although Todd is best known for his movie career – most notably as the iconic horror villain Candyman, and ******** home owner William Bludworth in the Final Destination movies – he also performed in a number of video games over the years.

He played Vortigaunts in Half-Life 2: Episode Two and reprised the role in 2020 VR game Half-Life: Alyx.

He also played Admiral Tommy Briggs in the 2012 release of Call of Duty: ****** Ops II, as well as Doctor Rogers in Back 4 Blood.

Todd’s filmography also included performances in such major movies as Platoon, the 1990 remake of Night of the Living ***** and The Crow.
