/X user Shinobi602 shared the news. It is a top-down shooter where the player fights through hordes of undead and supernatural foes such as bats, werewolves, and witches, and, interestingly, not vampires.

The game plays with a single stick action for movement while your character automatically attacks the undead horde, with the goal being to survive as long as you can to unlock more weapons for use later. As well as coming to PS5 later this year, a DLC for the game will release on May 9, titled Operation Guns. It will feature characters from the popular Contra game franchise from the 1980s.

Contra is a series of primarily side-scrolling shooters where players ****** a series of alien threats, so the crossover makes some thematic sense.

The game will be released in Summer 2024.

Potentially being one of the best games of 2022, it started its life in December 2021, where it quickly rose to popularity on Steam early access.

It was released in late 2022 with generally favorable reviews and has been popular ever since, leading to excitement about its upcoming PS5 release later this year. The game has since had three major DLCs, including Legacy of the Moonspell and Tides of the Foscari, released in 2022 and 2023, respectively, which were both met with positive reception. This will make the Operation Guns DLC the fourth to release.

An update was also released last year that added more game modes.

If the original game and its DLCs are anything to go by, we can expect something good from it.
