, Brian Rhodes, 51, of Amarillo was driving a 2016 BMW motorcycle east on Highway 1, three miles north of Big Cedar, at about 11:30 a.m. when a 2023 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Dirk Ross, 26, of Broken Bow, went left of center, striking Rhodes’ motorcycle.

Rhodes was flown to ******** Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas, where he was pronounced *****, authorities confirmed.

Ross was flown to UAMA in Little Rock, Arkansas in critical condition.

Both drivers were wearing helmets on the two-lane, divided asphalt of the highway, and weather conditions were dry and clear.

According to the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety, state troopers along with the Big Cedar ***** Department, Leflore County Sheriff’s Office and Leflore County EMS responded to the scene.

Authorities said the cause of the accident ******** under investigation.
