How to Defeat Red Wolf of Radagon

Looking for some help to determine how to defeat Red Wolf of Radagon? Boss fights are the most impressive parts of Elden Ring. The more you progress through the game, the more you will realize that bosses are getting tougher to beat.

The unique part of Elden Ring boss fights is that sometimes optional bosses become more challenging than major ones. Red Wolf of Radagon is kind of an early example of this scenario. Therefore, fighting this ****** without preparation is similar to inviting ******.

Where to Find Red Wolf of Radagon in Elden Ring

Make your way to the Main Academy Gate to enter Raya Lucaria Academy in Elden Ring.

From the beginning of Elden Ring, players will start facing major and optional bosses. If you are looking for the Red Wolf of Radagon, you must have completed the Limgrave region and fought bosses like Margit, the Fell Omen.

The present region you have probably entered is Liurnia of the Lakes, and here, as you roam, you will eventually reach the Academy of Raya Lucaria.

This is an optional location that will be found at the center of Liurnia of the Lakes, and players need the Academy Glintstone Key to enter this location. Now that you start exploring this dungeon, the Red Wolf of Radagon will be the first boss to encounter.

Technically, Red Wolf of Radagon is an optional boss that you can easily skip fighting. But if you want to reach Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, the Red Wolf of Radagon is a mandatory ****** to complete. It is a powerful wolf ****** with magic attacks.

How to Prepare for Red Wolf of Radagon in Elden Ring

The boss is incredibly fast, so it is better not to go for the ****** without proper strategy and equipment.

The Red Wolf of Radagon is one of the quickest enemies in the entire Elden Ring journey, with multiple deadly attacks that this giant wolf ****** launches in quick succession. The trickiest part is that the wolf ****** launches attacks in an unpredictable sequence.

This boss mainly launches magic attacks; therefore, the very first thing we would recommend you to do is to prepare with armor and shields that prevent magic attacks to the highest.

Tip

For magic users, it is always recommended to bring Magic Fortification incantation for some extra defense against the boss.

Even the toughest bosses of the game, like Godrick the Grafted, come with certain strengths and weaknesses. Therefore, Red Wolf of Radagon will also have these pre-set features that must be taken advantage of.

For example, this magical wolf ****** is strong against all elemental damage types. Therefore, if you are trying to use Magic, *****, Lightning, or Holy damage, these won’t work against him. He is immensely strong against these.

Poison, Scarlet Rot, Frostbite, and Madness will work against this wolf ****** to some extent, but it’s still better not to go with these as the boss has average resistance to these attacks.

So, without making the ****** further complicated, we would suggest you go for Slash attacks. The boss is weak against heavy attacks. Therefore, choose any sword, katana, or dagger you presently have in your inventory. Along with this, you can also consider bringing Spirit Ashes like Spirit Jelly Fish.

The summons won’t do massive damage to the ****** but will distract it and open ways for you to land heavy attacks to speed up the ******. So, any Spirit Summon will work.

Keep dodging the attacks of the boss, or some of them may eliminate you in a single hit.

We have already mentioned that this ****** is one of the most aggressive enemies with unpredictable ******* sequences. Therefore, you have to be attentive to his attacks all the time. We would recommend keeping a safe distance and first learning the attacks of the boss.

For instance, the boss launches short combos that are pretty easy to handle, and after each *******, the boss will become vulnerable for a few seconds. That’s the opportunity that you need to use to deal as much damage as possible.

The ****** generally begins with the boss launching the dagger *******. In this *****, the wolf ****** throws three daggers at you. The perfect way to avoid this ******* is to roll over to the other side.

Tip

Remember, the Red Wolf of Radagon’s attacks can’t be parried, and sometimes, these attacks are single-shot if your health is low.

The next *******, and one of the toughest among all, is the high leap ******* with the flaming sword in its mouth. This ******* must be dodged just before the boss lands. If the timing is not perfect, you will get some damage.

Another sword ******* the boss will launch is the swing combo. The boss will sweep his sword two or three times. Again, the only way to not get hit by the sword is to dodge it. Often, the boss will jump at you and try to hit you with its head.

The boss doesn’t have a large health bar. However, his agility and tendency to mix attacks make the ****** tricky and time-consuming. Don’t get confused. Keep an eye out for his attacks, and as soon as the boss finishes an *******, run to him and hit him hard before he recovers. Once you defeat the boss, it will drop 14,000 Runes and a Memory Stone.

Now that you have entered the Liurnia of the Lakes region in Elden Ring, you have already fought multiple bosses. So, which one do you think is the toughest compared to an early-game boss? Share your opinions with us in the comments!
