Uber Australia axing hybrids from Green service in big EV push

Global rideshare giant Uber will phase hybrid vehicles out of its Uber Green service in Australia by April 2025, with only electric vehicles (EVs) able to be hailed.

Uber Green, which currently matches riders with a broad range of low- and zero emission vehicles, will become Uber’s second fully electric rideshare service when it freezes out hybrids.
