Chelsea and Nottingham Forest charged for failing to control players

Chelsea and Nottingham Forest have been charged by the Football Association for failing to control their players after a mass confrontation during Sunday’s Premier League game at Stamford Bridge.

Players from both sides clashed towards the end of the match, which ended 1-1, after Forest’s Neco Williams had appeared to push defender Marc Cucurella off the pitch.

“It’s alleged that both clubs ******* to ensure their players didn’t behave in an improper and/or provocative way around the 88th minute,” the FA said in a statement.

Both clubs have until Thursday to respond to the charge.
