Bunbury and Busselton women get help to dress for success this month

Bunbury and Busselton women will have another chance to benefit from a not-for profit initiative providing them with professional clothing, skills and confidence to enter the workforce.

Dress for Success WA is returning to the South West this month to empower women on their journey to achieve financial independence by providing job-readiness support.

The initiative, which helps a diverse range of women get back to work and feel confident doing so, will return to the region from October 21 to 24 after a successful visit in April.

Chief executive Natalie Sangalli said she was “thrilled” to be hosting workshops and one-on-one sessions in the region again.

“It’s always been a location that we’ve had a lot of support from our referral partners,” she said.

“We generally have full bookings and the volunteers love coming down there and helping other women in the South West.”

Ms Singalli said the Dress for Success van would “roll into town” full of pre-loved professional attire.

“Our volunteers will hold styling sessions with all of the clients — they get about a one-hour appointment,” she said.

“All of our volunteers are trained up in how to work in a woman-centred way and the women will take away two full free outfits, including shoes, bags, jewellery, for whatever they’ve got coming up.”
