Perenti avoids ‘second strike’ after executive pay changes

Mining contractor Perenti has avoided the embarrassment of a “second strike” after making tougher changes to its executive pay policies to hold management more accountable for workplace fatalities.

Disgruntled proxy firms and investors last year protested that earlier changes to pay had not gone far enough by delivering a 33 per cent vote against Perth-based Perenti’s remuneration report at the annual general meeting.
