Some enemies in Elden Ring can be tough to beat; however, their horrid appearances made the experience of fighting them worse. The game developers wanted to depict these monstrosities accurately and have their appearances match their destructive capabilities.

Director Hidetaka Miyazaki delved deeper into the element of horror and aimed to give the players a gaming experience that would allow them to ****** these demons. The Dark Souls franchise primarily focused on the combat and the story second whereas Elden Ring found a fine balance in between.

Miyazaki realized that appearances can be deceiving; however, the Soulslike genre could benefit from disgusting enemies that can pack a punch and the look of a major threat. Perishing from battle is a common trend in these games and players will likely spend more time around the bonfire checkpoint where they can feel safe and free from threats of all matter.

The Shadow of the Erdtree expansion had a great marketing phase and FromSoftware unveiled new images before the release.
