Mortgage broker AFG sees home buyers positioning for rate cut, but laments shortage of homes

One of WA’s biggest non-mining ASX successes, national mortgage wholesaler *********** Finance Group, has bemoaned the shortage of housing stock as home-buyers position themselves for an interest rate cut.

AFG chief executive David Bailey said pre-approved home loans through brokers had been running at record levels, fuelled by growing market expectations of a rate cut by as early as December.
