Myer’s chief says customers becoming more frugal when shopping for clothes, accessories

The boss of Australia’s biggest department store says customers are increasingly frugal when shopping for clothes and accessories amid an ongoing squeeze on household budgets.

Myer’s new executive chair, Olivia Wirth, said on Friday that while customers were not necessarily gravitating towards cheaper items, they were “more selective” about their purchases.
