Cops bust alleged creator of secret app used for ******

Dozens of people have been arrested following days of raids targeting the alleged creator and users of a secret app for ********* communications.

Some 700 *********** Federal Police members were involved in more than 70 searches around the nation this week, leading to the arrest of 38 people.

The raids also took down a global encrypted communications network, the AFP said.

A man police will allege created and maintained the network is due to face court on Wednesday.

Encrypted communication networks, including some reliant on dedicated devices, have become a focus for law enforcement targeting transnational organised ******.

The AFP and the US FBI previously ran a platform to gather evidence on ******* plots, ***** importations and ******* purchases which were openly discussed on the network because ********** thought it was secure.
