Parks and Wildlife officers from the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attraction reported the carcass on Monday at 3.45pm. Hassel Beach is about 55km north east of Albany. A spokesperson from DPIRD said the carcass could attract sharks and bring them close to shore. DPIRD is urging people to take additional care around Hassel Beach and to adhere to any beach closures advised by Parks and Wildlife officers, Surf Life Saving WA, and local government rangers. If you see a shark, report it to Water Police on 9442 8600.
