A broke and “broken” single mother has issued an urgent plea for more crisis support for children, describing how she was turned away with her seven-year-old daughter from Perth shelters which were either full or ******-only.

“Even just some advice on how to go about living in the car, I chased it down and there was just nothing,” she said.
