Premier Roger Cook says WA’s population will hit three million “very soon”, but concedes the increase is putting pressure on infrastructure, the housing market and the State’s finances.

With WA’s population currently at 2.93 million people, according to *********** Bureau of Statistics data, it is expected that the three million figure will be reached this summer. The latest figures, revealing the increase for the March quarter of this year, will be released on Thursday.
