Ileana floods roads after making landfall in northern Mexico

STORY: :: Tropical Storm Ileana hit northern Baja California, flooding and muddying the streets

:: September 13, 2024

:: Baja California Sur, Mexico

Ileana impacted the surf hotspot ***** San Lucas, in the south of the peninsula.

The ******** National Meteorological Service (SMN) warned of torrential rains between 150 mm and 250 mm, and gusts of wind between 70 km/h to 90 km/h in the afternoon and night.

The SMN informed intense rains are forecast for Saturday (September 14) as the storm is expected to weaken as it moves north along the peninsula.
