York Festival to open with concert version of WA Opera’s Wundig Wer Wilura by Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse

The first reading of Noongar opera Wundig Wer Wilura, written and composed by Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse, happened in the kitchen of an Airbnb in York.

On either side of the accommodation sat the two mountains featured in the ancient Ballardong Noongar story the opera is based on — Wongborel (Mt Brown) and Walwalling (Mt Bakewell).
