Oh, and no, it doesn’t have anything to say about the third entry’s release. In a blog post on the State of Decay website, it was revealed that the next update, Update 38, will be its last, with only one more hotfix if needed for after the update, likely to fix anything that might hinder the experience from the update. This update will put a focus on fixing longstanding bugs, glitches, and the like to make it “stable and fun” for years to come. Undead Labs has assured players that the game will remain playable for owners and Game Pass subscribers. Of course, it’s up in the air how long it will be that way and how long multiplayer will work. Automatic content, such as bounties, will continue to function as normal while seasonal rotation content will be lootable in the world year-round. State of Decay 3 was revealed back in 2020. It’ll supposedly have stronger graphics and heavier narratives than its precursor. It looks, though, like we’ll have to wait until later this year for any new info.
