mightn’t look much different, but changes run the gamut from an updated powertrain to a superior after-sales program and more standard safety equipment.

Thus far, LDV has only detailed changes for Deliver 9 van and bus models. It’s calling these model year 2024 (MY24) vehicles.

All van and bus models get a longer seven-year, 200,000km warranty, up from just three years or 160,000km.

LDV also offers three years or 95,000km of capped-price servicing with a total cost of $2510, however this is up $548 on MY23 models equipped with an auto.

Under the bonnet is a new turbo-diesel engine that meets Euro 6 emissions regulations and requires AdBlue.

This 2.0-litre four-cylinder is not only cleaner than the engine it replaces, it also packs 20kW more power and 45Nm more torque for total outputs of 128kW and 420Nm.

The amount of standard safety equipment on Deliver 9 van and bus models has increased markedly.

The updated model gains standard ******-spot monitoring, safe exit warning, emergency lane-keep assist and front parking sensors, while an electronic park brake and adaptive cruise control with stop/go is also now standard fit.

Inside, there’s a new 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, up from 10.1 inches. Android Auto is now available, joining the already standard Apple CarPlay.

Cosmetic changes are limited to a new gloss ****** grille.

Prices are up across the board. Comparing ABN holder drive-away pricing for MY23 and MY24 vehicles, the latter are between $4000 and $4500 more expensive. That includes the unchanged cab-chassis models.

Safety

The LDV Deliver 9 hasn’t been ******-tested by ANCAP, though LDV says the safety authority has bumped it up from a bronze rating to a gold one in its commercial van safety comparison with a score of 74 per cent.
