A teen has been charged with preparing for an act of ******* over an alarming alleged plot to ******* an *********** school.

The teen is accused of attempting to purchase firearms online.

It is understood the teen planned on using the weapons in an ******* on a school in Brisbane’s north.

“The QLD ****** Counter Terrorism Team has charged a young person as part of an ongoing investigation in Brisbane,” an AFP spokesperson said.

“They have been charged with one count of acts done in preparation for, or planning, ********** acts contrary to section 101.6 of the ********* Code Act 1995 (Cth).

reported the teen’s lawyer submitted to the Brisbane Children’s Court that the teen has “level two autism”.

“In this matter, which involves a 16-year-old young person, who I am told and without challenge accept that suffers particular vulnerability in terms of autism, there is a risk of prejudice to him,” the court heard.
