Zombie mode is one of the main attractions of the upcoming Call of Duty ****** Ops 6. Treyarch has done a commendable job of raising the bar in terms of creativity by implementing new features and bringing back some old favorites as well.

The return of the GobbleGums feature is probably what many fans are excited about, as it adds a new level of complexity. Furthermore, it has been confirmed that “Shopping Free” power will be part of the GobbleGums, though it won’t be available at launch.

The GobbleGums feature was first introduced in ****** Ops 3 and instantly became a fan favorite. For anyone unaware, players in zombie mode can use the GobbleGums machine to take out a gum using credits, and eating it will grant some form of benefit.  

The boosts granted by the gum are mostly temporary but can be very powerful if used efficiently. In ****** Ops 6, players can carry up to three gums and use them at any point in a match.

According to the rarity of the gum consumed, players will get different powers. It goes without saying the rarer the gum is, the more potent its effect will be. At launch, the game will have more than 20 different types of gum in the GobbleGum machine, and the number is expected to increase down the line.

One of the most powerful effects granted by the gum in ****** Ops 3 is the “Shipping Free” effect, which allows players to buy just about anything in the mode free of cost. The effect lasts only for one minute, but the time is more than enough to gain a massive advantage.

OFFICIAL: Shopping Free is coming to ****** Ops 6 Zombies during a season.

When asked if Shopping Free is coming to BO6Z, the answer of “not at launch” was given.

As expected, many are wondering if we will see the same gum in ****** Ops 6. However, it has been confirmed that it won’t be available at launch, although there is a high probability that it will be added to the game at some point.

Treyarch Is Bringing back Edward Richtofen

It’s not just the innovative features that are generating hype for ****** Ops 6 zombie mode. Treyarch has added a fan-favorite character, Edward Richtofen, to the mode as well, which has gotten a lot of fans excited.

Edward Richtofen is voiced by Nolan North, who has achieved a cult hero status amongst fans. Bringing him back certainly adds to the appeal and allows Treyarch to tap into the nostalgia and affection that fans have for the character.

With Edward Richtofen returning, fans are also requesting to bring back Corporal “Tank” Dempsey as well. Much like Edward Richtofen, Dempsey is an iconic character voiced by Steve Blum. However, since he won’t be available at launch, there is a chance we could see him as part of the mid-season update.
