Hidetaka Miyazaki May Return to Yharham as Bloodborne 2 Teased

Bloodborne is an underrated gem from the PlayStation 4 generation, and the gaming community has been waiting for a follow-up project, whether it is a remaster for the current generation or a sequel. After years of begging and being let down, most fans lost all hope from whispers of a remaster.

Despite the massive success and demand from the gaming community, Sony Interactive Entertainment has the final say about how the Soulslike title should be handled. Fans have been clamoring for years and their hope faded into an abyss, until recently, reports from a notable insider claim something is coming.

The Battle for a Bloodborne Remaster or Sequel Is Far From Over After All These Years

The developers of FromSoftware have struck gold with the Soulslike genre and used everything they have learned and their knowledge to improve the succeeding major projects. Unfortunately, the studio does not own the IP, and content creators like Kai Cenat have been campaigning for a Bloodborne remaster during his livestream marathons and giving the game the respect it deserves.

Cenat isn’t the first and will not be the last public figure to push for a remaster for the current console generation. Unlike many other PlayStation first-party exclusives, this game was not given a next-gen boost treatment and raised some eyebrows within the gaming community. Recent reports from a reliable insider suggest those days of hopelessly hoping are numbered.

Sony continues to ******** the fans after allegedly mistakenly posting an expansion of the game labeled for the PlayStation 5. Some fans think the gaming company revels in giving them false hope; however, since the recent shift of leadership, Hideaki Nishino is a fan and could become the franchise’s savior, and has the power to greenlight a remaster or a sequel.

DanielRPK is a renowned insider with a great track record of accurately leaking information early. Perhaps this is the sliver of hope that could reignite the community’s interest; however, some fans have become jaded after Sony snuffed out all hope and utilized the franchise as the source of inspiration for merchandise instead.

Director Hidetaka Miyazaki contributed greatly to the game’s success and does not mind going back to expand the lore; unfortunately, it is out of his hands. Hopefully, this new report will pave the way for something the gaming community thought was out of reach forever.

Bloodborne 2 May No Longer Be a Pipedream if Recent Leaks Are to Be Believed

The game has been released for nearly a decade, and while it is playable on the PlayStation 5 through backward compatibility, players can’t make the most of the next-gen hardware. Miyazaki holds this project with high regard and it is a shame to see creatives denied to expand the franchise.

Perhaps the shift in leadership could pave the way for something that should have happened years ago. The gaming community has expressed great interest in supporting a remaster project that could have been a handsome payday for Sony Interactive Entertainment.

It ******** unknown why Sony refused to give this franchise a similar treatment. Perhaps the company fails to see the appeal and would prefer to keep its distance from the highly successful Soulslike genre.

Regardless, it is worth taking this news with a grain of salt. Fans have been disappointed in the past one too many times now.
