A homeless Geraldton man sentenced for failing to contain a ***** at an abandoned hotel has twice asked the court to jail him in order to apply for housing through the prison system.

David Anthony Ambrosius, 48, appeared in the Geraldton Magistrates Court from custody on Tuesday, after being sentenced in the District Court the day prior.
