The Federal Government is committed to resurrecting plans to overhaul consultation rules for offshore gas projects as the “complexity and ambiguity” of the existing system continues to shake industry confidence.

Three months have passed since the Albanese Government shelved laws designed to curb “lawfare” against major gas projects after blowback from the Greens, Indigenous groups and environmentalists.
