An intense manhunt is underway for a man who threatened several people with a ****** at Leederville train station on Monday morning.

Police said around 7.30am, a man entered the Leederville train station and threatened several members of the public with a ******.

The man is understood to have fled the train station shortly after. No injuries were reported.

Police are now searching for the man with the help of the police airwing and canine squad.

The perpetrator was last seen wearing a ****** tracksuit top, ****** tracksuit bottoms with white writing on the leg, white runners and carrying an insulated shopping bag.

A number of police resources have been deployed to the area to search for the man.

Members of the public should not approach the man under any circumstances as he is believed to be armed with a ******.
