Solheim Cup: Charley Hull in Europe’s team to face ******* States

England’s Charley Hull and Ireland’s Leona Maguire are among the eight automatic qualifiers for Europe’s Solheim Cup team to face the ******* States next month.

Hull and Maguire are joined by France’s Celine Boutier, Carlota Ciganda of Spain, Germany’s Esther Henseleit and Swedish trio Maja Stark, Linn Grant and Madelene Sagstrom.

Captain Suzann Pettersen will name her four wildcard picks to make up the 12-strong team on Monday, 26 August at 16:00 BST.

Europe go into the 19th staging of the event as the holders, having retained the title with a 14-14 draw in Spain last year after winning the previous two editions.

The 2024 Solheim Cup will be held from 13-15 September at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Virginia.
