When it comes to Xbox, there’s one name that’s synonymous with the brand: Halo. The iconic franchise might not be getting new content every other day, but it’s been one of the most popular exclusives for over two decades.

It’s hard to imagine Xbox ever giving it up, especially with PlayStation clutching its exclusives, both bad and good, like Concord and the Horizon franchise.

Everyone loves a good surprise though, and with the way things are moving lately (such as Indiana Jones and, Sea of Thieves and Hi-Fi Rush coming to PlayStation), nothing seems off the table.

Here are five Xbox exclusives that we think could follow Indiana Jones in making the jump to PS5.

’s flagship franchise, this has been one of the brand’s defining exclusives since its launch in 2001. Master Chief’s adventures are talked about today as if they were released yesterday, as the game expertly blends great storytelling with solid mechanics for its time and a very fun multiplayer mode.

It’s a long shot to ever see this franchise come to PlayStation consoles, but it’s not completely out of the realm of possibility. For the head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, the focus right now seems to be releasing games on as many consoles as possible. The company is more open-minded than ever before.

4) Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2

When Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice first came out, it was a critical hit. The game’s exploration of mental illness in the 8th century combined with what truly felt like immersive gameplay set it apart from other titles. It’s one of those unique experiences you want to experience for the first time over and over again.

The game eventually came out on PlayStation consoles, and it wouldn’t be too farfetched to expect the same from its sequel.

That being said, there’s some important context here. The first game came out before its developing studio, Ninja Theory, was taken under Xbox’s wing. This changes things, but something tells us this won’t be an exclusive title for much more time.

Obsidian Entertainment has a reputation for creating amazing RPG experiences with rich storytelling and fun mechanics, and its latest release is no different, according to reviews.

The game was generating a lot of buzz for being the next Skyrim, which are huge shoes to fill. While the discourse around the game was mostly positive for the longest time, some recent comments from the developer’s side about the game not needing a 60FPS mode have soured things.

When games are developed for Xbox consoles, they need to be compatible with the Series S, the much weaker counterpart of the Series X. If this game was ported to the PlayStation, it might prompt the developers to step up the performance and visuals, similar to how Sea of Thieves‘ port ended up.

2) Starfield

When Starfield was first announced, it quickly became one of the most highly anticipated games of the decade. As Bethesda’s first new IP in over 25 years, the very mention of a new game set a lot of high expectations—maybe even impossibly high, to a certain extent.

The actual launch turned out to be underwhelming more than anything, and every update since then seems to be an attempt at repairing its reputation.

There haven’t been any announcements regarding this game’s port to the PlayStation, but it doesn’t seem out of the realm of possibility.

If there’s one franchise that stands alongside Halo as a defining pillar of the Xbox brand, it’s Gears of War. Since its debut in 2006, the Gears series has been synonymous with brutal, cover-based combat that explores the deep narrative of a war-torn world.

Marcus Fenix and his fellow COG soldiers are iconic in the world of gaming, and this franchise is one that PlayStation fans have been waiting forever to experience.

With hits like **** of War and The Last of Us on PlayStation, it’s clear that people are craving more story-driven, action-packed experiences on the platform. Sony might have the popular vote on that between the two, but that doesn’t mean Xbox doesn’t have any hits in the niche.

Like Halo, this is one of the more unlikely franchises to ever get ported to PlayStation. But with Spencer’s constant talk about making games more accessible, the possibility doesn’t seem to be a complete zero anymore.
