San Angelo man arrested on four counts of possession of child ************

A San Angelo man has been arrested after a cyber tip led to alleged evidence of possession of child ************.

On Wednesday, the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office ********* a search warrant on two properties which led to the arrest of James Wilson, 57, on four counts of possession of child ************, according to a news release.

Wilson remained in the Tom Green County Jail with no bond as of 10 a.m. Thursday, according to jail records.

A San Angelo man has been arrested after a cyber tip lead to the evidence of possession of child ************.

On Aug. 6, the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding child ******* ****** material being uploaded onto a social media site and online cloud-based storage.

“An investigation was initiated, and probable cause was developed that identified Wilson as a suspect,” the release stated.

A search warrant was obtained and ********* at a residence in the 100 block of Decoty Drive, and a place known as Wilson’s place of employment, both in San Angelo.

“Evidence discovered during the ********** of the search warrant and the totality of information learned during the investigation warranted the on-view arrest of Wilson at the scene,” according to allegations in the release. “This case ******** an open and active investigation. Further charges may be forthcoming.”
