War Machine’s Hover Jets Are No Longer Grossly Overpowered In Fortnite

Fortnite has continued delivering consistent outflow of quality content for the past few years. The gaming community has fell in love with the game’s competitive and ambitious nature, especially the collaborations that the game brings by partnering with other major franchises.

The community has a few harsh words about the previous season and Epic Games has heard enough to make some tough choices for Chapter 5 Season 4. The present season started with a bang; however, it was inevitable for certain items to be nerfed significantly and fans are unhappy.

Epic Games is doing everything to bounce back after the previous season was not well-received by the players and plans on winning them back by giving them what they have longed for. Chapter 5 Season 4 is another season focusing on characters from the Marvel universe and highlights the cruelty of Doctor ***** in Fortnite.

It has become a common practice for the developers to feature new items inspired by the theme of the latest season. Countless items from the Marvel universe were added to the game like Captain America’s Vibranium shield, Doctor *****’s Arcan Gauntlets and his Monarch *******, and many more; however there is one that has been on the top of everyone’s list.

The teaser trailer extensively showed the insane loadout of War Machine and everyone was happy about bringing back a variation of the jetpack. It is a much more convenient way for traversal and can give them an edge against the competition in a sticky situation’. However, the developers noticed it was too good for their liking and decided to make the necessary adjustments.

….and that’s all the fun nerfed.

Other players were convinced that the new dual submachine guns were being nerfed given the impressive firepower and ***** rate. War Machine has served with the Avengers for many years and is renowned for his arsenal then fans were making the most of it as soon as the season dropped collecting every mythic item available in-game to get the full experience.

It is a shame to see the jetpacks get nerfed instead of other items likely to be abused by toxic players. Fans have picked up on a cycle where Epic Games introduces a new item, and for players to try in the first few days then nerf them later.

Game developers must find the fine line between balancing and scaling in online multiplayer games. Players often use the jetpacks to get around the map much faster and use them in fights to gain the high ground but Epic Games isn’t a fan of this method.

Hopefully, the changes won’t be as drastic as anticipated and will not sway the players from using these items. The developers must evaluate their options carefully and not make any decisions they will regret that could also turn the community against them.

The hover jets were a cool addition allowing players to dash and glide in a ******. However, it could potentially lead to another toxic season. Epic Games is recovering from the previous season’s fiasco. Fans have high hopes that Absolute ***** will put them back on track.
