  2. Hamilton to be ‘reborn’ at Ferrari, warns Verstappen Hamilton to be ‘reborn’ at Ferrari, warns Verstappen Lewis Hamilton will be “reborn” at Ferrari, his rival Max Verstappen claimed at Formula One’s glitzy season launch in London. Hamilton’s blockbuster transfer from Mercedes to the Italian giants is the major talking point ahead of the new campaign which begins at the *********** Grand Prix in Melbourne on March 16. A month away from the opening round, Hamilton, 40, has come together with the grid’s 19 other drivers to launch F1’s 75th anniversary season at the O2 Arena. Hamilton was afforded huge cheers when he presented to the 15,000 fans in attendance at the beginning of the two-hour show, while Verstappen received a few heckles from the London crowd. The Briton makes the move to Ferrari after 12 seasons at Mercedes. He ended his two-and-a-half year winless streak at the British Grand Prix last July, but finished only seventh in the world championship, 214 points behind Verstappen, following a disappointing final campaign with the team that carried him to six of his seven titles. However, when asked about his Hamilton’s chances for his new team, Verstappen – who himself is bidding to emulate Michael Schumacher by taking five consecutive crowns – said: “I don’t need motivation from anyone else but it (moving to Ferrari) is nice for Lewis. “It will provide him with a different scenery, a new motivation. And when you have been with a team for a long time, have won a lot and then had a few tough seasons, maybe your motivation is different. Now it is almost like he is reborn. “We all know how good Lewis is and we all know how good (Hamilton’s team-mate) Charles (Leclerc) is. “Ferrari have two great drivers. It is going to be exciting for the sport, but it (Hamilton’s potential success) will also depend on how good the car is.” Hamilton joins a Ferrari team that were narrowly beaten to the constructors’ title by the McLaren team of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri last year. With few changes to the rulebook, Norris will start the season as favourite to take the championship after finishing second last season. But McLaren CEO Zak Brown said: “I am definitely anticipating Lewis being a championship contender. We and Ferrari ended last year with nothing between us and I think that will continue.” Hamilton will get his first proper taste of the machine he hopes will deliver him a record eighth world title and Ferrari’s first championship in nearly two decades, at the sole winter test in Bahrain next week. And Red Bull team principal Christian Horner believes it is imperative Hamilton is not sluggish out of the blocks. “If Lewis gets off to a good start and he gets the team around him, he will find his confidence and he could be a real contender for this world championship,” said Horner. “He seems to be embracing his new environment. I saw his speaking in Italian the other day – or an English version of Italian – and they (the tifosi) will love him if he is quick and he delivers. “He will feed off that energy. But if he doesn’t get off to a good start, it will inevitably be harder for him.” Source link #Hamilton #reborn #Ferrari #warns #Verstappen Pelican News View the full article at [Hidden Content]

It also uses a 4-point leveling method which is easy for beginners to adjust. It supports an impressive 10K resolution that’s great at capturing small details and intricate patterns. Be sure to pair it with the Anycubic 3D Printer Resin–a four-pack is currently on ***** for $60 (was $80). Anycubic Photon Mono 4 and Elegoo Mars 5 Three Elegoo models are on ***** as well, and all three come bundled with a free bottle of resin. You won’t be able to handle the same level of detail on this more affordable printer, but the standard Mars 5 will still provide a good starting point in the world of 3D printing. Prime members will also find the Mars 4 Ultra on ***** for $240 (was $330), and since it offers the same 9K resolution as the Mars 5 Ultra, give it a closer look if you’d like to save a few bucks without sacrificing small details. 4. Judge won’t block Musk and DOGE from accessing data, making cuts at 7 federal agencies Judge won’t block Musk and DOGE from accessing data, making cuts at 7 federal agencies Washington — A federal judge on Tuesday declined to stop Elon Musk and the White House’s Department of Government Efficiency, known as DOGE, from accessing data systems at seven federal agencies and firing or putting their employees on leave. U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan rejected a request for a temporary restraining order sought by 14 Democrat-led states as they pursue a challenge to Musk’s actions. The states have argued that Musk, who the White House said is categorized as a special government employee, has unchecked authority and is violating the Constitution’s Appointments Clause. But in a 10-page decision, Chutkan found that the states have failed to show that they will suffer imminent, irreparable harm without relief. “The court is aware that DOGE’s unpredictable actions have resulted in considerable uncertainty and confusion for Plaintiffs and many of their agencies and residents,” she wrote. “But the ‘possibility’ that defendants may take actions that irreparably harm plaintiffs ‘is not enough.'” President Trump issued an executive order establishing the Musk-led DOGE on his first day in office and tasked the agency with reducing the size of the government and cutting federal spending. Since then, DOGE’s employees have been dispatched to more than a dozen agencies to implement Mr. Trump’s agenda. DOGE’s actions, though, raised alarms for Democrats and labor unions representing federal workers after it was revealed that Musk and his team had gained access to government systems. Musk has publicly called for entire agencies to be “deleted,” and DOGE has claimed on social media that it is responsible for contracts being canceled. In an effort to combat DOGE’s efforts, several states and the unions have filed federal lawsuits seeking to stop the task force from having access to information and payment systems. The case before Chutkan was filed last week and claims that Musk’s actions are a violation of the Appointments Clause and exceed the scope of his authority. Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX and owner of X, is an “unelected, unconfirmed government official” who is “exercising unprecedented executive authority,” the states said in a court filing. “An individual accountable only to the president — if he answers to anyone at all — is exercising apparently limitless power within the Executive Branch,” the states wrote in their complaint. “Mr. Musk’s conduct has wreaked havoc on the federal government and caused mass chaos and confusion for state and local governments, federal employees, the American public, and people around the world who depend on the United States for leadership and support.” The states asked Chutkan to issue a temporary restraining order that would temporarily bar Musk and DOGE from accessing data systems at the Office of Personnel Management and the Departments of Education, Labor, Health and Human Services, Energy, Transportation and Commerce. They also asked her to prevent him from terminating, furloughing or placing on involuntary leave any federal employees at those agencies. The Justice Department, though, argued that the states cannot identify any imminent, irreparable harm — one of the four factors they have to prove to receive relief — that warranted the court’s intervention. The Trump administration also said the relief sought by the states was too broad and would sweep in anyone affiliated with DOGE, including Mr. Trump and Senate-confirmed administration officials. Justice Department lawyers wrote in a court filing that the states’ claim that Musk has the authority to make decisions for the government is “wrong,” and “rests entirely on conflating influence and authority.” “An advisor does not become an officer simply because the officer listens to his advice. And stripped of their lengthy rhetoric, the states do not actually cite a single example of where Elon Musk (or anyone at USDS) has been given formal authority to exercise the sovereign power of the United States,” they wrote, referring to the U.S. DOGE Service, the entity’s formal name. A declaration filed by Joshua Fisher, director of the White House’s Office of Administration, noted that Musk serves as a senior advisor to the president, as well as a special government employee. He has “no actual or formal authority to make government decisions himself,” Fisher stated in the filing. Musk is also not the administrator of DOGE, according to the declaration. Chutkan held a hearing to consider the states’ request on Monday, and she appeared skeptical that the states had shown that they would be imminently harmed by Musk and DOGE’s actions. A “generalized fear that this is going to happen, even if it looks like it’s likely to happen,” is not enough to satisfy the need for a temporary restraining order, she said. “I’m not seeing it so far,” Chutkan told a lawyer for the states, adding that they were effectively seeking a “prophylactic” temporary restraining order, which she said is “not allowed.” But Anjana Samant, a lawyer for the state of New Mexico, which is leading the suit, called DOGE and its actions a “one-of-a-kind situation.” The nation has never experienced “this type of wielding of power in this way,” she said Chutkan warned that the alleged actions by Musk and DOGE are “concerning” and “troubling.” She said the mass firings of thousands of federal workers is “not a small or common thing” and noted that Musk has not been nominated to a position by the president nor confirmed by the Senate. Musk, Chutkan said, is a private citizen tasked with directing an organization, DOGE, to have access to “the entire workings of the federal government.” She noted that, according to the states, the task force has fired workers, cut contracts and terminated programs, “all without apparently any congressional oversight.” “The allegation isn’t that agencies can’t manage their own workforce,” she said. “The allegation is that DOGE is coming into these agencies and accessing data and firing people, terminating contracts. They’re essentially running the government. That’s the problem.” But Harry Graver, a Justice Department lawyer, said “there is not a single instance of Musk or USDS commanding these actions,” and they are instead being taken by high-ranking agency officials. In a filing Monday submitted after the hearing, Justice Department lawyers reiterated that the Trump administration is “not aware of any source of legal authority granting USDS or the U.S. DOGE Service Temporary Organization the power to order personnel actions at any of the agencies listed above.” Chutkan oversaw the federal prosecution of Mr. Trump that was brought by former special counsel Jack Smith in Washington, D.C. The president faced four counts stemming from what prosecutors alleged was an unlawful plot to subvert the transfer of presidential power after the 2020 election. Chutkan granted a request from Smith to dismiss the case after Mr. Trump won the presidential election in November because of a Justice Department policy that forbids the prosecution of a sitting president. 5. US, Russia forge ahead on peace talks, without Ukraine US, Russia forge ahead on peace talks, without Ukraine By Humeyra Pamuk and Pesha Magid RIYADH (Reuters) -U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration said on Tuesday it agreed to hold more talks with Russia on ending the war in Ukraine after an initial meeting that excluded Kyiv, a departure from Washington’s previous approach that rallied U.S. allies to isolate Russian President Vladimir Putin. As the 4-1/2-hour meeting in the Saudi capital was underway, Russia hardened its demands, notably insisting it would not tolerate the NATO alliance granting membership to Kyiv. Trusted news and daily delights, right in your inbox See for yourself — The Yodel is the go-to source for daily news, entertainment and feel-good stories. It was the first time U.S. and Russian officials met to discuss ways to halt the deadliest conflict in Europe since World War Two. Ukraine has said it will not accept any deal imposed without its consent, and ******* Chancellor Olaf Scholz reiterated “there must be no decision over the heads of Ukraine.” Even before the talks took place, some European politicians accused Trump’s administration of handing free concessions to Moscow last week by ruling out NATO membership for Ukraine and saying it was an illusion for Kyiv to believe it could win back the 20% of its territory now under Russian control. U.S. National Security Adviser Mike Waltz told reporters in Riyadh that the war must come to a permanent end, and this would involve negotiations over territory. “Just a practical reality is that there is going to be some discussion of territory and there’s going to be discussion of security guarantees,” he said. High-level teams would begin talks on ending the conflict and would separately work to restore the countries’ respective diplomatic missions in Washington and Moscow to ease the talks going forward, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said. Rubio said he came away from the initial talks convinced that Russia was “willing to begin to engage in a serious process” but that reaching peace would involve concessions from all sides. RUSSIA OFFERS NO CONCESSIONS Russian officials did not mention offering any concessions and U.S. officials did not claim to have scored any in Tuesday’s meeting, leading observers to doubt whether the talks would turn into serious peace negotiations. Addressing Ukrainian and European concerns, Rubio said no one was being sidelined and any solution must be acceptable to all parties. Rubio later spoke to the top diplomats of France, Germany, Italy, Britain and the EU to brief them on the talks, State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said. Both sides said no date had been set for a meeting between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, which both men say they want. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said he had postponed a visit to Saudi Arabia planned for Wednesday until next month. Sources familiar with the matter said the decision was made to avoid giving “legitimacy” to the U.S.-Russia talks. Kyiv says talks on how to end the war should not be held behind Ukraine’s back. As European countries discuss the possibility of contributing peacekeepers to back any Ukraine peace deal, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in Riyadh that Moscow would not accept deployment of NATO troops there, whatever flag they were operating under. “Of course, this is unacceptable to us,” he said. The comments by Lavrov signalled that Russia will keep pressing for further concessions in the negotiations. The opening encounter on Tuesday saw Lavrov and Kremlin foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov – two veterans who have spent a combined 34 years in their current roles – negotiate with three Trump administration officials in their first month on the job. “So far I have seen zero evidence that Putin is willing to give one inch in order to negotiate a peace deal,” Michael McFaul, who served as U.S. ambassador to Russia under former President Barack Obama, wrote on X. “All I see instead are ideas floated by the U.S. of concessions that Ukraine, NATO, and U.S. are supposed to make.” POTENTIAL ‘ECONOMIC PARTNERSHIPS’ Lavrov said there was “high interest” in lifting economic barriers between the two countries. After the invasion, the U.S. and other Western countries imposed waves of sanctions on Moscow. Rubio said European countries have also imposed sanctions, so they would have to be involved in talks on lifting the measures. If the conflict ultimately ended, he added, it would “unlock” opportunities for U.S.-Russian cooperation, including “some pretty unique, potentially historic economic partnerships.” The fast-moving diplomacy, beginning with a Putin-Trump phone call only six days ago, has triggered alarm in Ukraine and European capitals that the two leaders could cut a quick deal that ignores their security interests, rewards Moscow for its invasion and leaves Putin free to threaten Ukraine or other countries in the future. Tuesday’s talks also sparked concern in Washington, which has backed Ukraine’s defense with billions of dollars of military aid approved by the U.S. Congress on a bipartisan basis. “Russia has won Round One,” U.S. Representative Jake Auchincloss, a Massachusetts Democrat who is a co-chair of the bipartisan House Ukraine caucus, told Reuters. “The Kremlin has been normalized in bilateral diplomacy that excludes Ukraine and NATO, and they gave up nothing to get that.” (Reporting by Humeyra Pamuk in Riyadh and Dmitry Antonov in Moscow; additional reporting by Max Hunder in Kyiv, Patricia Zengerle, Rachel More and Sabine Siebold;Writing by Mark Trevelyan and Simon Lewis;Editing by Kevin Liffey, Frances Kerry, David Gregorio and Deepa Babington) Source link #Russia #forge #ahead #peace #talks #Ukraine Pelican News View the full article at [Hidden Content] For verified travel tips and real support, visit: [Hidden Content]

Wizards of the Coast also teased two new mechanics that will be introduced to Magic: The Gathering through this crossover collaboration. However, details for those additions are being held back until May. Magic: The Gathering’s Final Fantasy card decks will hit stores on June 13, and preorders are live. Parents Outraged at School Board Meeting Over Graphic LGBTQ Images in Elementary School-Aged Book Parents Outraged at School Board Meeting Over Graphic LGBTQ Images in Elementary School-Aged Book Parents in Penfield, NY are outraged over a controversial book accessible to children as young as the age of five. It’s about a little girl who attends an LGBTQ pride parade and it reportedly includes pictures of naked people and men in ******** fetish gear. “The Rainbow Parade” currently sits in the library of Cobbles Elementary School in Penfield. Post about the book alleged the material was brought home from school by a kindergartner, but Jennifer Selever says her fifth-grade daughter actually brought the book home in December. A kindergartner … — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) February 12, 2025 “This is soft ************. It’s inexcusable why it’s in the system for elementary school kids and I want it gone,” Selever told Spectrum News 1. The mom said she doesn’t take issue with the story – which is about a young girl who is apprehensive about joining an LGBTQ parade with her two moms – but rather the images illustrated in the book. “My problem is with the photos,” she said. “I don’t care if it’s a heterosexual book. If you have explicit photos in a book for an elementary school kid, it’s not excusable. It shouldn’t happen. They shouldn’t be in there.” Selever points out the most troubling parts, “You could see here this is the BDSM attire with a chain and leather straps. And this is the naked image. This one, the man is naked. He has balloons in front of his private parts. This one here, I don’t know if it’s a woman or a drag queen, but breasts are hanging out.” Selever was joined by a host of parents last week who called on the Penfield Central School District to remove the book from the school’s library shelves. “Your main topic is to talk about gender fluidity with these kids and ideology when they are underperforming and their academic achievements are down. It’s time to get back to education, not indoctrination,” she told the board at the start of the meeting. But instead of school board members being open to hearing from Selever and other concerned parents, they shut them down. Video of the meeting last week captures School Board President Dr. Emily Roberts telling parents that they have to follow protocol saying, “We have the policy in place. The procedures in place to object [to learning materials].” Some in the crowd disrupted Roberts and the board immediately called a recess and left without hearing public comments. Since then, board members have reportedly said they are open to hearing from parents and removing the book from shelves, but say there is a process that must be followed. “The regulation helps us with acting out, following thorough,” Superintendent Tasha Potter told WHAM-TV. “It’s the ‘how’ of the policy.” She said that she has to designate a review committee that will review objections. For now, they have put a pause on public comment through March and April to “restore our environment.” Formal objections have now been filed with the school district, but Roberts said, “Until a final decision has been made, challenged instructional materials remain in use and/or circulation.” CBN News has reached out to Penfield Central School District for comment. Why AI resorts to stereotypes when it is role-playing humans Why AI resorts to stereotypes when it is role-playing humans AI models struggle to mimic people with particular demographic identities whitebalance.oatt/Getty Images Artificial intelligence models from OpenAI and Meta often resort to simplistic and sometimes racist stereotypes when prompted to portray people of certain demographic identities – a notable flaw at a time when some tech companies and academic researchers want to replace humans with AI chatbots for some tasks. Companies such as Meta have already tried boosting engagement on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram by deploying AI chatbots that mimic human profiles and respond to people’s posts. Massive fire breaks out at Pennsylvania aerospace manufacturer, prompting shelter-in-place order Massive fire breaks out at Pennsylvania aerospace manufacturer, prompting shelter-in-place order JENKINTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Schools were closed and residents were ordered to shelter-in-place Tuesday after a large fire broke out at an aerospace manufacturer’s facility in a town north of Philadelphia, officials said. The fire broke out at SPS Technologies in Jenkintown around 9:30 p.m. Monday and witnesses said there was an explosion and flames could be seen inside the warehouse, the Abington Township Police Department said in a statement on social media. The building was evacuated, all employees were accounted for and no injuries were reported. SPS Technologies describes itself as a developer, manufacturer and global supplier of a line of aerospace fasteners and precision components. The Abington and Jenkintown school districts and all private and parochial schools were closed Tuesday. The shelter in place order was in effect until the incident was under control because smoke and particulates from the fire were filtering across the area, officials said. Hazmat crews were monitoring air quality and advised all businesses within a 1-mile (1.6-kilometer) radius to remain closed until further notice. Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority warned that service was suspended on three regional rail lines to start the day due to the fire, noting that it could cause delays in other parts of the system. KFC restaurant in Shelbyville, Kentucky, on Jan. 29, 2021. Luke Sharrett | Bloomberg | Getty Images KFC is leaving Kentucky. The fried chicken chain’s U.S. headquarters will move from Louisville, Kentucky, to Plano, Texas, owner Yum Brands said on Tuesday. About 100 KFC U.S. employees will be required to relocate over the next six months. The relocation is part of Yum’s broader plan to have two corporate headquarters: one in Plano, the other in Irvine, California. KFC and Pizza Hut’s global teams are already based in Plano, while Taco Bell and the Habit Burger Grill are located in Irvine. Additionally, Yum’s U.S. remote workforce, roughly 90 workers, will also be asked to move to the campus where their work is based. But Yum isn’t entirely abandoning Kentucky. The company and the KFC Foundation plan to maintain corporate offices in Louisville. Plus, KFC still plans to build a new flagship restaurant in its former hometown. Since the pandemic, many employers have been rethinking their corporate headquarters, often spurred to move by lower taxes and changes to office space needs due to the hybrid or remote workforce. With its business friendly policies, Texas has been the most popular relocation choice, according to a 2023 report from CBRE. In 2020, Yum rival Papa Johns moved its headquarters from Louisville to Atlanta. It later canceled plans to sell its old headquarters, instead opting to hold onto the building for the corporate workers who stayed in Louisville. 21. Musk is not an employee of DOGE and “has no actual or formal authority,” White House says Musk is not an employee of DOGE and “has no actual or formal authority,” White House says Billionaire Elon Musk’s role in the Trump administration is to find ways to cut costs through the newly created Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE. But a new court filing from the White House states that the Tesla CEO isn’t an employee of DOGE, adding that Musk “has no actual or formal authority to make government decisions himself.” The filing raises questions about Musk’s role in the Trump administration and at DOGE, a cost-cutting task force created by Mr. Trump on Jan. 20 that is working at a number of agencies, including the Treasury Department and the IRS, in an effort to find fraud and waste. The White House didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment about Musk’s role at DOGE. Last week, Musk — the world’s richest person, with a net worth of $398 billion — stood behind Mr. Trump at the Oval Office, describing DOGE’s work as taking “very simple and basic” steps to cut federal spending. At the same time, DOGE’s efforts have sparked multiple lawsuits and raised alarms from Democratic lawmakers and consumer advocates over its reported access to personal data of millions of Americans and businesses. The White House’s Feb. 17 filing came at the request of U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is hearing a case about the constitutionality of Musk’s actions since the start of Mr. Trump’s presidency. Fourteen states ranging from Arizona to Washington are suing Musk, DOGE and Mr. Trump, alleging that Musk is exceeding his authority and taking “actions that can only be taken by a nominated and principal officer of the United States.” The lawsuit claims that Musk “does not occupy an office created by law and has no authority to exercise the powers of a principal officer, or any other officer.” “There is no greater threat to democracy than the accumulation of state power in the hands of a single, unelected individual,” the lawsuit alleges. “In recent weeks, defendant Elon Musk, with President Donald J. Trump’s approval, has roamed through the federal government unraveling agencies, accessing sensitive data and causing mass chaos and confusion for state and local governments, federal employees and the American people,” the lawsuit further claims. At a Feb. 17 hearing, Justice Department attorney Harry Graver told Chutkan, “There is not a single instance of Musk or USDS commanding these actions,” referring to widespread firings of government employees across various agencies last week. Instead, the government workers were fired by officials within their own agencies, he said. “No actual or formal authority” The Feb. 17 filing states that Musk is working as a “senior adviser to the president,” comparing his role to that of Anita Dunn under the Biden administration. Dunn served as a special government employee when she advised former President Biden, the filing noted. “Like other senior White House advisers, Mr. Musk has no actual or formal authority to make government decisions himself,” the filing said. “Mr. Musk can only advise the president and communicate the president’s directives.” Musk’s role as a special government employee, or SGE, confirmed by the White House earlier this month, indicates that he’ll work for the Trump administration for 130 days or less during a one-year *******. The SGE role was created in 1962 as a way of enabling the government to tap outside expertise, according to the publication Government Executive. Because Musk isn’t paid for his work at the White House, his financial disclosure report will remain confidential, a White House official has told CBS News on condition of anonymity Asked at the Oval Office last week whether there are issues with conflicts of interest between his businesses, including Tesla and Space X — which receive billions in federal contracts — and DOGE, Musk said that the task force’s work is transparent. He added, “So you can see everything that’s going on, and then you can see, am I doing something that benefits one of my companies or not? It’s totally obvious.” —With reporting by Melissa Quinn. 24. AC Milan knocked out by Feyenoord in Champions League AC Milan knocked out by Feyenoord in Champions League AC Milan have been left to rue Theo Hernandez’s sending off for diving as Feyenoord advanced to the Champions League last 16 at the former European champions’ expense with a 1-1 draw in the second leg of their play-off. Hernandez earned his second yellow card for a dive in the 51st minute on Tuesday when seven-times winners Milan were dominating after forward Santiago Gimenez’s first-minute goal had levelled the tie against his former team. Feyenoord, also former European Cup champions way back in 1970, celebrated exuberantly after they emerged triumphant, courtesy of their 1-0 win in Rotterdam last week. Milan’s defence looked anything but assured after Hernandez was sent off, with Hugo Bueno crossing for Julian Carranza to head Feyenoord level on the night in the 73rd minute, sealing the Dutch team’s 2-1 win on aggregate. Things had looked promising for Milan at first as just 40 seconds had elapsed when Gimenez headed into the net after Malick Thiaw had nodded a cross from Christian Pulisic back across the goalmouth. Gimenez did not celebrate out of respect for his ex-club he left last month. Feyenoord goalkeeper Timon Wellenreuther saved Joao Felix’s shot and Hernandez hit the outside left post on the rebound in the 23rd. Wellenreuther denied Kyle Walker shortly after the restart but the momentum completely changed when Hernandez had to go in the 51st over a second yellow card he received for simulation in the Feyenoord penalty area. Feyenoord had rarely threatened until then, but after their equaliser they held on, with their teenager Givairo Read shown a red card following a melee after the final whistle.
