As heavily funded startups and tech giants hustle to get any lead they can in artificial intelligence, Anthropic says it’s developed the company’s “most intelligent” AI model yet.
The Amazon-back startup on Monday unveiled Claude 3.7 Sonnet. What makes it unique is its so-called hybrid model, which combines an ability to reason — or stopping to think about complex answers — with a traditional model that spits out answers in real time.
“This model has all the capabilities wrapped together — we want one coherent AI that can help with with everything,” Anthropic co-founder and science chief Jared Kaplan told CNBC in an interview. “There’s an advantage in simplicity for our customers.”
Anthropic says it’s the only “hybrid” model of its kind available on the market, and will go live immediately. Kaplan likened it to the way the human brain operates. Some questions require deep thinking, some require quick responses. But Anthropic is looking to integrate both capabilities, rather than have an entirely separate model for both.
The move could give Anthropic a much-needed edge against rival OpenAI, and megacap tech companies that are all investing heavily in AI models. Anthropic’s chatbot Claude is a competitor to OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini.
Anthropic is in talks to raise up to $2 billion from Lightspeed and Google at a $60 billion valuation, CNBC has reported. Amazon has plowed roughly $8 billion into backing the startup.
Anthropic product chief Mike Krieger, who previously co-founded Instagram, said the hybrid approach is a way to simplify the chatbot process for customers. They can use multiple capabilities without needing to think about which is the best option.
“Models all have personalities, they’re all a bit different,” Krieger told CNBC, adding that it’s a “lot” to have consumers choose the model, or how long they want it to reason. “I would love for people, end users, not have to think about that very much at all.”
Krieger said users should be able to turn the hybrid option on or off for simplicity. They can give it a time “budget” based on what they’re working on. Anthropic will also role out a tool for coding using agents on Monday.
The startup has had a few wins with product launches ahead of competitors. It was also the first to unveil a widely available “agent” capability late last year, which OpenAI soon followed. Krieger and Kaplan both said they expect competitors to move in this direction with hybrid models. For now, they said the “moat” exists in having strong closed loop customer relationships and coming out with smarter versions.
“We see exploding demand that’s hard to keep up with for existing models,” Kaplan said. “We just generally believe that as we make models smarter and smarter, and more capable, that’s just going to continue.”
WATCH: Anthropic CEO more confident than ever that we’re ‘very close’ to powerful AI capabilities

U.N. rejects U.S. resolution that urged end to Ukraine war without mentioning Russian aggression
U.N. rejects U.S. resolution that urged end to Ukraine war without mentioning Russian aggression
In a win for Ukraine as it marks three years since Russia’s full-scale invasion, the United States on Monday failed to get the U.N. General Assembly to approve its resolution urging an end to the war without mentioning Moscow’s aggression. And the assembly approved a dueling European-backed Ukrainian resolution demanding Russia immediately withdraw from Ukraine.
It marks a setback for the Trump administration in the 193-member world body, whose resolutions are not legally binding but are seen as a barometer of world opinion. But it also shows some diminished support for Ukraine, whose resolution passed 93-18, with 65 abstentions. That’s lower than previous votes, which saw over 140 nations condemn Russia’s aggression.
The United States had tried to pressure the Ukrainians to withdraw their resolution in favor of its proposal, according to a U.S. official and a European diplomat who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the talks were private. They refused, and then the assembly added language to the U.S. proposal making clear that Russia invaded its smaller neighbor in violation of the U.N. Charter.
The vote on the amended U.S. resolution was 93-8 with 73 abstentions, with Ukraine voting “yes,” the U.S. abstaining and Russia voting “no.”
Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Mariana Betsa said her country is exercising its “inherent right to self-defense” following Russia’s invasion, which violates the U.N. Charter’s requirement that countries respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of other nations.
“As we mark three years of this devastation — Russia’s full invasion against Ukraine — we call on all nations to stand firm and to take … the side of the Charter, the side of humanity and the side of just and lasting peace, peace through strength,” she said.
U.S. deputy ambassador Dorothy Shea, meanwhile, said multiple previous U.N. resolutions condemning Russia and demanding the withdrawal of Russian troops “have failed to stop the war,” which “has now dragged on for far too long and at far too terrible a cost to the people in Ukraine and Russia and beyond.”
“What we need is a resolution marking the commitment from all U.N. member states to bring a durable end to the war,” Shea said.
The dueling proposals reflect the tensions that have emerged between the U.S. and Ukraine after President Trump suddenly opened negotiations with Russia in a bid to quickly resolve the conflict. It also underscores the strain in the transatlantic alliance with Europe over the Trump administration’s extraordinary turnaround on engagement with Moscow. European leaders were dismayed that they and Ukraine were left out of preliminary talks last week.
In escalating rhetoric, Mr. Trump has called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy a “dictator,” falsely accused Kyiv of starting the war and warned that he “better move fast” to negotiate an end to the conflict or risk not having a nation to lead. Zelenskyy responded by saying Mr. Trump was living in a Russian-made “disinformation space.”
Since then, the Trump administration not only declined to endorse Ukraine’s U.N. resolution, but at the last minute proposed its own competing resolution and pressed its allies to support that version instead. It comes as Mr. Trump hosted French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday in Washington.
The U.S. also wanted a vote on its proposal in the more powerful U.N. Security Council. China, which holds the council presidency this month, has scheduled it for Monday afternoon.
The General Assembly has become the most important U.N. body on Ukraine because the 15-member Security Council, which is charged with maintaining international peace and security, has been paralyzed by Russia’s veto power.
There are no vetoes in the assembly, and the Ukraine resolution, which is co-sponsored by all 27 members of the European Union, is almost certain to be adopted. Its votes are closely watched as a barometer of world opinion, but the resolutions passed there are not legally binding, unlike those adopted by the Security Council.
Since Russia forces stormed across the border on Feb. 24, 2022, the General Assembly has approved half a dozen resolutions that have condemned Moscow’s invasion and demanded the immediate pullout of Russian troops.
The votes on the rival resolutions — which have sparked intense lobbying and arm-twisting, one European diplomat said — will be closely watched to see if that support has waned and to assess the backing for Mr. Trump’s effort to negotiate an end to the fighting.
The very brief U.S. draft resolution acknowledges “the tragic loss of life throughout the Russia-Ukraine conflict” and “implores a swift end to the conflict and further urges a lasting peace between Ukraine and Russia.” It never mentions Moscow’s invasion.
Russia’s U.N. ambassador, Vassily Nebenzia, told reporters last week that the U.S. resolution was “a good move.”
The Ukraine’s resolution, meanwhile, refers to “the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation” and recalls the need to implement all previous assembly resolutions “adopted in response to the aggression against Ukraine.”
It singles out the assembly’s demand that Russia “immediately, completely and unconditionally withdraw all of its military forces from the territory of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.”
It stresses that any involvement of North Korean troops fighting alongside Russia’s forces “raises serious concerns regarding further escalation of this conflict.”
The resolution reaffirms the assembly’s commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty and also “that no territorial acquisition resulting from the threat or use of force shall be recognized as legal.”
It calls for “a de-escalation, an early cessation of hostilities and a peaceful resolution of the war against Ukraine” and it reiterates “the urgent need to end the war this year.”

How Guerrilla And Lego Brought New Horizon Adventures Set To Life
How Guerrilla And Lego Brought New Horizon Adventures Set To Life
Lego and video game collaborations have been a big trend for years now. Lego sets have featured the worlds of Super Mario, Animal Crossing, and Sonic the Hedgehog, among others, and soon the next Horizon set will be here.
After years of fan-builds, the official set releases in stores on March 1, but Stephane Varrault, design director at Guerrilla has now given fans a sneak peek as he demonstrated how they look and work.
“Working with Lego bricks and trying to replicate all the machines in this universe forces you to think about abstraction,” he told PlayStation Blog. “Abstraction is good for a designer because you start to think about the essence of fun. It’s about going back to the essentials.”
Keeping that idea in mind, Lego’s senior model designer Joseph Kyde had to figure out the design for the game’s iconic Shell-Walker. Translating the inner workings of the crate with the precious cargo that Shell-Walkers keep on their back to Lego form wasn’t the easiest.
“The hexagonal cargo pod was an extremely challenging build to make out of Lego elements and it was one of my favorite examples of a problem-solving exercise for this set,” Kyde said. After days of trying out multiple ideas, he ended up with a design involving two symmetrical pieces that simulated the in-game design rather well.
The Shell-Walker is not the only machine in the set as the Sawtooth will be included as well.
“They are very detailed, and you can also pose and animate them. Having that ability to make your own storylines from this incredible Lego set is a brilliant opportunity, and I’m so incredibly honored that it’s coming out of Lego Horizon Adventures,” said Kat Woolley, senior producer at Studio Gobo.
Of course, this set includes Aloy and Varl minifigures. What is a set without the game’s champion after all?
“Including Aloy was a no-brainer,” exclaimed Frédéric Andre, Lego Group’s creative lead. “Varl has the same amount of detail as Aloy. He has all the decoration to make him a fantastic minifigure!” Aloy’s minifigure features her in her signature outfit with a set of weapons to take on whatever the world throws at her.
Lego Horizon Adventures, a Lego-style video game adaptation of the mainline entries, was released back in November 2024. The new Lego set is priced at $45.

How To Get the Blood Shield Invisible Woman Skin
How To Get the Blood Shield Invisible Woman Skin
When Sue Storm made her debut alongside Mr. Fantastic in Marvel Rivals, the fans couldn’t get enough of her. For many players, her versatile powers combined with abilities that favour strategic gameplay have made her an easy pick.
The Blood Shield Skin for Invisible Woman | Image Credits: Marvel Rivals
But let’s be honest, people like her not only for her abilities- it’s also about those jaw-dropping skins. If you’re on the hunt for one such exclusive Blood Shield skin then you’re at the right spot. Here’s a lowdown on how you can snag the skin for yourself.
Reach Through the Ranks: From Bronze to Gold
Marvel Rivals Season 1 Release Image | Image Credits: Marvel Rivals
To obtain the skin, players need to first rise through the ranks and reach Gold, which is possible only in Competitive mode within a limited time window. Originally the Blood Shield Skin was an exclusive reward, which was set to disappear mid-season.
Thanks to the community feedback, the deadline has been extended to three more weeks. Now, players have until the end of the season to get the Blood Shield Skin for the Invisible Woman.
An Image of the Competitive Ranking System in Marvel Rivals | Image Credits: Marvel Rivals
For many the journey of reaching Gold might seem an uphill battle and rightly so. While the skin itself is free, to unlock the skin, the game requires you to reach Rank Gold 3 in Competitive mode- the lowest Gold rank. This means that the players are required to progress through three subsections of Bronze, and Silver to grab their rewards.
Along with this, players are also required to have at least 10 competitive matches in their belts before being eligible for the reward. There’s no easy way out of this- but hey, no mountain is too high, no valley too low.
A Reward Received Through Struggle
Groot from Marvel Rivals | Image Credits: Marvel Rivals
Now don’t lose heart, readers. While the grind is something players find inevitable and difficult, there is still some hope that remains. For those players who are not particularly confident playing The Invisible Woman, fret not! You can still earn the reward playing as other characters, preferably a Vanguard class like Groot, that can tank massive damage and leave more space for mistakes. Those who have already walked through the fire and reached the Gold rank- congratulations! You’re in for a treat as you are automatically eligible for the reward.
If you would require more than just one skin to make you work so hard, here is an added bonus. Along with the Blood Shield skin, players will also receive the Blood Blaze skin for Human Torch. This skin however can only be obtained at the end of the season.

The task of claiming the Blood Shield skin for yourself will indeed be difficult. There won’t be any shortcuts to get here, but at the end the reward is worth the fight. The skin will not just be a cosmetic upgrade but a testament to your dedication.

Foketi set to bounce back and push for Wallabies recall
Foketi set to bounce back and push for Wallabies recall
NSW Waratahs coach Dan McKellar is tipping strike centre Lalakai Foketi to rebound from a 2024 “ego hit” and re-emerge as a Wallabies contender under Joe Schmidt.
After a rough start to last year’s Super Rugby Pacific season, when he missed the opening six weeks with a frightening neck injury, Foketi didn’t feature for Schmidt.
But McKellar is backing the revitalised 30-year-old to hit back and rediscover his best after returning to peak fitness in a strong pre-season with the Waratahs.
“He had a rough year last year with injury and I’m just really pleased that he’s got himself into probably career-best shape, to be honest.” McKellar said ahead of the Waratahs’ hosting of the Fijian Drua on Friday night.
“He’s trained really well and ideally we get a little bit more ball in his hands than we did in round one.”
Foketi, who’s equally at home at inside or outside centre, was taken to hospital in a neck brace after a ruck collision before the Waratahs’ opening game last season.
“That would have impacted his confidence,” McKellar said.
“It was a pretty serious injury by all accounts and would have knocked him around.
“But having coached him at Wallaby level, he’s a really good player – powerful both sides of the ball.
“So I’m pleased with La. I know he’s really motivated to have a big year. He just seems to be loving his footy because it might have been taken away from him.
“He’s just a good man. He’s obviously got a young family now and his priorities have changed.
“He just seems to be in a really good head space off the field and I think that flows onto your on-field performance as well.”
Foketi said Schmidt was “nice enough” to call him when he was first overlooked for Wallabies selection last year.
“He said that I didn’t do enough for the Tahs that year, which is fair enough,” said the nine-Test midfielder.
“I’m probably my harshest critic and I didn’t expect to be in there.
“It’s an ego hit when you get the call saying you’re not in the team, but I quickly brushed that off.
“We had a few conversations. It was more my movement around the field and how I get involved.
“I pride myself on my ball carry and that wasn’t up to scratch, and defensively making good reads.
“It was good honest feedback and I probably needed that.”
Foketi admitted he had motivational issues last year “because of myself and where I was at with the game”.
“This year it’s changed,” he said. “I get in here every day and I’m excited, so my main priority is to perform consistently with the Waratahs.
“I’ve just got to go out there and deliver when it matters.”

Violent neo-Nazi group is silently rebuilding in the US and telling followers there are ‘only military solutions’
Violent neo-Nazi group is silently rebuilding in the US and telling followers there are ‘only military solutions’
A violent neo-Nazi group is silently rebuilding in the U.S., sharing an ominous warning with its followers that there are “only military solutions.”
The Base, formed in 2018, proscribed as a terrorist organization in several countries, appears to be undergoing a resurgence which experts attribute to seizing a “window of opportunity” with the new Trump administration.
The group, which has been subject to a years-long FBI counter-terrorism investigation, has been relatively quiet since 2022. But The Guardian reports that its founder and leader, former U.S. special forces contractor Rinaldo Nazzaro who is believed to be in Russia, was recruiting and reorganizing ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
FILE PHOTO – Neo-Nazi group the Base has been quietly regrouping after sensing a ‘window of opportunity,’ experts warn (Telegram)
Nazzaro, according to the newspaper, attempted to solicit veterans with $1,200 a month to train prospective members in an undisclosed location in the Pacific north-west.
An audio message released this month, shared with The Guardian, reportedly discussed the group’s ambitions to pursue covert action over public protest.
“Are we just going to be reactionary? Or are we going to be part of the solution? The military solution,” the voice said. “Because inevitably we’re going to end up in some sort of military situation, what are the choices?”
The voice talked of a “****** scenario” outlining the collapse of the U.S. government where there would be a need to “provide for your family” and for “white women.”
“There is no political solution, only a military solution,” it continued. “So act accordingly.”
Following Trump’s election win in November, analysts predicted the FBI would pivot away from prioritizing investigations into violent right-wing groups.
Experts believe the group is regrouping now because it senses a window of opportunity with the new administration.
“I think groups like the Base, far-right extremist groups that are strategic, have been waiting for the right opportunity before reinvigorating their respective organizations,” terrorism expert Colin Clarke told The Guardian.
Clarke, director of research at the Soufan Center, told the outlet that Kash Patel, Trump’s recently confirmed FBI director, would direct any counter-terrorism activity towards the left.
“This means that far-right extremist groups likely perceive the re-election of Trump as a green light to rebuild without fear of arrest or prosecution,” Clarke said.
FILE PHOTO: Following Trump’s election win in November, analysts predicted the FBI would pivot away from prioritizing investigations into violent right-wing groups (Telegram)
Steven Rai of the Institute for Strategic Dialogue agreed that the group, and others, are taking note of leadership changes.
“Violent extremists are absolutely paying attention to the changes in the national security establishment in the U.S.,” Rai told the newspaper.
In a statement to The Independent, an FBI spokesperson said the bureau “focuses on individuals who commit or intend to commit violence and criminal activity that constitutes a federal crime or poses a threat” to national security.
“We can never open an investigation based solely on protected First Amendment/free speech activity,” the spokesperson added.
Nazarro, who used the alias Norman Spear, aimed to set up militant cells around the world and had links to other neo-Nazi terrorist groups, including Feuerkrieg Division and Atomwaffen Division.
There has been a flurry of activity across the group’s social media pages, the newspaper noted, with some members claiming to be in the U.S.
Over the years the authorities have arrested several people linked with the groups, on charges including conspiracy to commit *******.
The group is among numerous “accelerationist” white supremacist groups drawing from the writings of American neo-Nazi James Mason.

Hazelight Studios returns once again with a co-op adventure, titled Split Fiction. The formula remains the same – players take control of two distinct characters in a mesmerizing co-op adventure with a focus on traversal and puzzle solving, with cooperation being key to survival here.
The game is set to launch for both consoles and PC, and as such has received a set of extensive system requirements. Interestingly, the minimum PC system requirements seem to be astonishingly low, which could indicate a rather optimized port.
Split Fiction PC system requirements are a breath of fresh air
The minimum system requirements are shockingly low | Image Credit: Hazelight Studios
The official PC system requirements for Split Fiction are live, and they seem to demand rather modest specs for the ‘recommended’ sheet. Interestingly, the minimum requirements are on another level, warranting the following hardware combinations:
Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit or newer
CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K or an AMD Ryzen 5 2600X
RAM: 16 GB
GPU: Nvidia GTX 970 or an AMD Radeon RX 470 (4 GB VRAM in either case)
DirectX: Version 12
Storage: 85 GB; a fast SSD is recommended
As is obvious from the list above, these requirements are shockingly low. In particular, the inclusion of the Nvidia GTX 970 is a nice surprise, given that the card is over 10 years old at this point.
Split Fiction has modest system requirements | Image Credit: Hazelight Studios
The list of recommended CPUs also seem to be rather reasonable, with the Ryzen 2600X being one of the first major Zen CPUs from AMD (a 6-core 12-thread beast at the time, but severely outclassed in modern times), released back in 2018 for AM4 socketed motherboards.
The only outlier here would be the rather bloated 85 GB install space – which indicates a lot more high-res textures (among other assets) in play here. Still, the size is rather standard for a modern AAA release. One should expect the game to mandate a fast, NVMe based SSD as well.
The minimum specs seem even more impressive when we take into consideration that it is the baseline for 1080p gameplay – with no upscaling, albeit at 30 FPS Low. It’s an impressive port for sure, and it will be even more interesting to see how well the game scales off from the High to Low preset, and of the visual sacrifices taking place to achieve the same.
Optimized titles are becoming a rarity in the PC gaming space
PC gaming has seen a serious lack of optimization in recent years | Image Credit: Hazelight Studios
PC gaming is in a very peculiar state right now. On one hand, the space has seen an unprecedented growth, with what used to be console-only titles making their way over.
On the other hand, ports have been a lot worse than they have ever been. The industry’s over reliance on upscaling and frame generation techniques means that modern titles never truly run at native resolutions, using smoke and mirrors to boost perceived performance.
It should be reiterated that techniques such as DLSS and frame generation are most definitely not substitutes for game optimization. The situation is even worse when we take into account the ever increasing price of PC hardware (especially GPUs), and the marginal improvements seen per generation.
As such, having a heavy, co-op focused title such as Split Fiction taking down the PC system requirements to a much lower level (than industry norms) is very much appreciated. More PC gamers can access the game, and this is a rarity in the PC gaming space.

Endgame Gear KB65HE Review: Minimal looks, solid build
Endgame Gear KB65HE Review: Minimal looks, solid build
Why you can trust Tom’s Hardware
Our expert reviewers spend hours testing and comparing products and services so you can choose the best for you. Find out more about how we test.
More and more Hall Effect switch keyboards have been popping up on the peripheral marketplace, and the Endgame Gear KB65HE was one of the earliest magnetic keyboards to be released. I’ve enjoyed spending a long time trying out this keyboard for both typing and some hardcore gaming. Still, I did have some early quality control issues when the keyboard first arrived and it took me a while to find the time to resolve the initial problems.
HE switches are marketed as having less wear and tear compared to more commonplace mechanical switches with the mechanism reduced to just a tiny spring and an even smaller magnet — fewer contacting parts hopefully equal a longer lifespan. They’re also aimed at gamers — and some have made it onto our list of best gaming keyboards — as HE switches allow for Rapid Trigger and other tweaks that traditional mechanical switches do not.
The Endgame Gear KB65HE uses Gateron’s KS-37B HE switch and with the aid of the Endgame Gear software you can set the actuation or threshold point to anywhere between 0.1 and 4mm, which can make the switches super sensitive for responsive gaming, or slightly less responsive if you want to use the keyboard for typing — and I can confirm the KB65HE is good at both.
Design and Construction of the Gear KB65HE
The Endgame Gear KB65HE isn’t much to look at — there are no screens, knobs, or fancy switches and color schemes — and I love it. The keyboard still has gamer-friendly per-key RGB lighting for those who want to color-match their peripherals — but apart from that, it’s just a no-nonsense keyboard. It’s built well, however: it’s quite heavy, weighing 2.31 pounds (1,050g), which is hefty for a mini 65-percent keyboard.
Thanks to its heft, the KB65HE won’t move around on your desktop while you’re typing or gaming without some amount of force. It has a ****** CNC-milled aluminum chassis that measures 12.4 inches (315mm) wide by 4.2 inches (108.8mm) deep, and is 1.4 inches (37.2mm) thick at its thickest point. The KB65HE just feels like a quality product in your hands — the fact that it is so thick and heavy helps to stiffen the keyboard to the point where it has zero flex, and, combined with ample silicon dampening layers in the case, is a very quiet keyboard to type on… aside from the noisy spacebar, which rattles loudly when it springs back up after being pressed.
Image 1 of 3
The KB65HE’s 65-percent layout manages to squeeze in 69 keys — including the arrow keys — while keeping the keyboard’s total footprint fairly diminutive. The keyboard features luxurious double-shot PBT keycaps — made in collaboration with Ducky — which are very well-made with a lightly-textured surface and feature shine-through for the board’s RGB lighting. The keyboard has a hot-swappable PCB, but of course it’s only compatible with (some?) magnetic HE switches.
In the box, you’ll find a braided USB-A to USB-C cable, an alternate Esc button – yellow and adorned with the Endgame Gear logo, plus some ******* rubber feet that raise the angle of your keyboard ever so slightly. These feet are easily swapped by just pulling out the existing feet and pushing the others in.

Typing and Gaming Experience on the Gear KB65HE
For gaming, I found the responsiveness of the Gateron KS-37B HE switches to be exceptional, but that was only after I spent a couple of days taking all the switches apart and adding some of my own Krytox 205g0. The quality control on some of the Gateron switches’ “pre-lubed” POMs was pretty dire. When I first began testing and typing on the KB65HE the key presses felt very sticky and scratchy, with some keys being so rough that they got stuck and didn’t pop back up.
The keycaps used are double-shot PBT, made in collaboration with keyboard makers Ducky. They’re super-comfy to type on, with just the right amount of texture to them, and they make the keyboard feel more like an enthusiast keeb rather than a prebuilt gaming keyboard.
While typing on the keyboard I found I had to dial back the threshold quite a bit, as I was getting a lot of extra inputs if I accidentally brushed another key. I also found the rebound of the space bar caused the key to register multiple space inputs — partly a me-issue, as I’ve developed a habit for really hammering the spacebar with my right thumb when typing. This is a magnetic keyboard, so you can adjust the actuation level to help combat this.
Features and Software of the Gear KB65HE
The KB65HE is a wired-only keyboard with fast 1000 Hz polling and extreme customization potential with the ability to set the actuation threshold for each key on the keyboard separately or choose to set them all at the same level. Endgame Gears’ configuration software is great: very lightweight and functional, with a simple user interface that makes it easy to customize everything from the switch actuation to key assignments and lighting with a simple mouse click.

You can set up profiles in the software with potential profiles for say, gaming, with a super-responsive 0.4mm threshold, and perhaps another profile for typing out your office work with a slightly less-responsive 2mm threshold. The difference between the two doesn’t sound like much, but in use, the difference is extremely noticeable. (You don’t realize how much you rest your fingers on the keys until you try setting the threshold to 0.1mm and notice your in-game characters moving, seemingly without you pressing the key down, but it’s registering enough weight for an input.) It takes a little bit of trial and error to find your personal sweet spot. But once you do, the actuation level can make a real difference.
The Bottom Line
If the Endgame Gear KB65HE didn’t have the initial issues with the sticky switches, I would struggle to find any real faults with this keyboard, apart from a few ********. But if it arrived for me in this state, then it would have been returned for a refund, hopefully, it was a one-off or a small QC issue that has now been resolved. It’s a massive shame though, as once I added some lube, the keyboard experience totally changed: Gaming on the KB65HE felt like I was cheating in some games, with the responsiveness being so high I was moving left and right dodging hits and landing shots in line with my actual finger movements.
The look and feel of the Endgame Gear KB65HE, although understated and a little plain for some, was exactly what I liked about the keyboard. It might not have the flashy lights and gimmicks of a lot of gaming keyboards, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Having the solid aluminum chassis made it a solid bit of kit — it didn’t move around the desk during hectic gaming sessions and it was also a delight to type on, with a satisfying typing sound when I was working. The simple design and solid ****** coloring were design choices I would certainly go for, and at $139 / £139 it’s priced conservatively for such high-quality construction and components.

Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5 Made Me Question the Value of Completing Games
Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5 Made Me Question the Value of Completing Games
Travis Bruno of Capsule Computers writes:
“When it comes to the Kingdom Hearts franchise, fans have had a variety of ways to play it throughout its incredibly long length. They could have followed it from 2002’s original release and subsequent questionably canon releases on handheld devices only to return to the core game again with Kingdom Hearts II to find out that yes, they were canon. Then in that wait until the third game the mixture of titles along the way and other numerous platforms would make following Kingdom Hearts‘ story a challenge even for the most eager fan. Square Enix made up for this prior to Kingdom Hearts III’s release by bringing together an HD pack collecting the game’s together in an easier to digest package for fans and releasing them on consoles only for PC fans to be left in the dark. That is of course until all of the games arrived on PC, but not in a way that many had hoped. See, PC users can be a fickle bunch and when the Kingdom Hearts collection arrived on PC exclusively through Epic Games, it may as well not exist. Now, three years after the fact, these same PC players can now enjoy the exact same games on Steam with a bit of extra support including Steam Deck compatibility with Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece. The question is, do all of these games still hold up on their Steam PC ports?”

Christian Grocer Makes a Difference by Creating an Oasis of Hope in a Former Food Desert
Christian Grocer Makes a Difference by Creating an Oasis of Hope in a Former Food Desert
According to the US Department of Agriculture, more than 23 million Americans live in what’s known as food deserts. These areas, usually in low-income communities, don’t provide residents access to affordable, healthy food options, like fresh produce.
When you take a closer look into a city like Norfolk, VA, you might be surprised that an area like this exists where residents often live more than a mile from the nearest supermarket.
E. Palmer Supermarket is in the Berkely section of the city. Complete with fresh fruit and vegetables it has become a beacon of hope for an area that went years without a full-service grocery store like it.
“There’s a lot of seniors in the area, a lot of senior walkup traffic. So, we thought this would be a good area to really get the people, the healthy food options that they need,” said Esron Palmer, co-owner of E. Palmer Supermarket.
Palmer and his Dad, Michael, obtained a grant and loan from the city to launch the business three years ago.
“None of the big box retailers wanted to come in, your Food Lions, such names like that,” Palmer told CBN News. “So, they provided the opportunity with a grant to get it started. So, once I graduated from VCU, my father let me know the opportunity. We drafted up a business plan and we were running from there.”
People in food deserts often have little choice other than to buy unhealthy processed food available at nearby convenience stores.
“Most of the food in these establishments are ready to eat, or commercially packaged goods, are highly processed foods,” said Dr. Darin Detwiler, a teaching professor of Global Economics of Food and Agriculture at Northeastern University. “You typically don’t find ease of access to raw fruits and vegetables or whole ingredients.”
Detwiler also shared that people living in such areas face a greater risk of diet-related health conditions.
“When we’re looking specifically at the health impacts, we have everything from foodborne illnesses to obesity, diabetes, hypertension, high blood pressure, and other concerns,” Detwiler explained.
Those health concerns are a major reason E. Palmer offers its customers, many who live on a fixed income, incentives for purchasing healthy food.
“We try to keep up with our produce as best as we can, getting the freshest produce possible at the good price for our customers,” said Palmer. “We also offer to our EBT customers 50 percent off their fruits and vegetables anytime they shop.”
“I saw the fresh fruits, the fresh vegetables, the fresh meats, the prices,” said customer April Taylor. “Within this area, if you didn’t have this, you have to go way out to get it.”
Detwiler said there are a number of reasons why food deserts exist.
“Lack of supermarket investment, high real estate costs and zoning laws, supply chain challenges, but also there’s some systemic elements, housing discrimination, underdeveloped neighborhoods, even the idea of structural inequalities within communities that have historical and systemic basis in racism,” Detwiler explained.
These are all issues the Palmers are helping to overcome through hard work and faith.
“Can’t do anything without Christ,” Palmer commented. “Everything through God. And he just helped us throughout the way, keeping faith, making sure that we have everything that we need as far as the knowledge and the strength to continue.”
***Please sign up for CBN Newsletters and download the CBN News app to ensure you receive the latest news from a distinctly Christian perspective.***
Customers are beyond grateful, such as longtime resident Joan Spaulding.
“All the other stores are so far, I guess they don’t want to come in this neighborhood,” Spaulding said. “But these people here have came in our neighborhood. They give us the best food that we could ever ask for. We have fresh fruits, vegetables, everything. I come here every day, it’s like home and I love it so much.”
Others highlight the family-like atmosphere, such as a weekly free breakfast for seniors at the store’s on-site restaurant.
“The store is very important. Without this store, the community wouldn’t be a community,” said regular shopper Ralph Finklea.
That kind of feedback is what fills Palmer with a sense of fulfillment, knowing that he is meeting the needs of many, hopefully for years to come.
“It feels great coming here to see the smiling faces on people. The products we offer are with our healthy food options and everything like that. It is really great to know that we have that here for them to come and get whatever they need,” Palmer said.

Apple plans to invest $500 billion in the US over the next four years
Apple plans to invest $500 billion in the US over the next four years
Apple plans to ramp up its US hiring and investments. On Monday, the company said it will hire around 20,000 workers and spend over $500 billion in the US over the next four years.
In 2021, several months after former President Biden took office, Apple said it would invest $430 billion domestically over the following five years. Bloomberg notes today’s announcement marks an added $39 billion in spending and an extra 1,000 jobs annually over its previous numbers.
The newly announced package will include a new manufacturing facility in Houston to build servers for Apple Intelligence, which has increasingly become central to the company’s plans and advertising campaigns. The Private Cloud Compute servers that handle Apple Intelligence’s more complex server-AI queries use Apple M-series chips, which are still produced in Taiwan.
Apple said most of the 20,000 new jobs will focus on R&D, AI and machine learning, silicon engineering and software development. The company will also expand its data center capacity in North Carolina, Iowa, Oregon, Arizona and Nevada to help meet Apple Intelligence’s growing backend needs.
The company will also open an Apple Manufacturing Academy in Detroit, where its engineers will work alongside “experts from top universities such as Michigan State” to consult with small and medium-sized businesses on implementing AI and smart manufacturing techniques. Apple will also offer free in-person and online skills development courses. It already runs a Developer Academy in the Motor City.
The announcement follows a meeting between Tim Cook and President Donald Trump last week at the White House. Trump implied that Apple was making additional investments to avoid tariffs due to the iPhone maker’s heavy reliance on manufacturing in China. “They don’t want to be in the tariffs,” Trump said after the meeting.
Apple hasn’t said whether investments are related to tariffs, instead framing them as a sign of confidence in the nation’s ability to innovate. “We are bullish on the future of American innovation, and we’re proud to build on our long-standing US investments with this $500 billion commitment to our country’s future,” Cook said in a press release.

AMD 9800X3D ‘failures/deaths’ Reddit megathread indicates the vast majority may be happening on ASRock motherboards
AMD 9800X3D ‘failures/deaths’ Reddit megathread indicates the vast majority may be happening on ASRock motherboards
Ryzen 7 9800X3D processors appear to be dying at an abnormally high rate on ASRock motherboards, to the point where the issue has gained the attention of ASRock Reddit moderators. Moderator SoupaSoka on the ASRock subreddit created a “9800X3D Failures/Deaths” megathread revealing an allegedly high amount of user reports surrounding dying 9800X3Ds on ASRock motherboards. Over 40 reports have been made so far, with 32 of them on ASRock’s boards.
We’ve reached out to ASRock for comment and will update if we get an answer.
The megathread reveals that Ryzen 7 9800X3D deaths in association with ASRock motherboards, while abnormally high, seem to be occurring in an inconsistent fashion. Some 9800X3D’s are allegedly dying during boot-up, while some are dying within hours, days, or weeks of ownership. Some reports also claim their CPUs were dead on arrival. AMD and ASRock are allegedly aware of the problem; however (probably due to the aforementioned inconsistency), the sole cause of the issue causing 9800X3D’s to die has yet to be determined.
Did my 9800x3d die? from r/ASRock
A summary of dead 9800X3D reports in the megathread features over 40 user reports of dead CPUs. A few non-X3D reports were sprinkled in there, suggesting the issues could extend beyond the 9800X3D. Some of the worst reports include users who went through two dead 9800X3D’s to only have their non-X3D fallback CPU working well without issues. Still, some of the luckier users claim to have their replacement 9800X3Ds working fine.
One potential workaround mentioned in the thread is a BIOS flashback reversion to an older ASRock BIOS. At least one report claims to have “revived” a 9800X3D by using BIOS flashback to revert to an older BIOS. The megathread creator recommends that 9800X3D owners (with ASRock boards) revert to an older BIOS revision with this method if they experience POSTing failures after BIOS updating with their 9800X3D.
The full reports include a few MSI, Gigabyte, and Asus motherboards. 40 reports is not a critically high number, considering the amount of 9800X3D processors AMD sells every month. However, the most telling issue is that 32 of the 40 reports come from users featuring an ASRock motherboard.
This problem could be an extension of the original Ryzen 7000 burning catastrophe last year that was caused by badly tuned firmware pushing certain voltages beyond safe levels. It could be a case that ASRock’s firmware is doing something similar to Ryzen 7 9800X3D processors, but time will only tell if this is the case. These issues also appear to be different from the first 9800X3D burnout reports we saw late last year that were allegedly caused either by user error or a faulty AM5 socket.

Judge blocks Trump administration from making immigration arrests at some places of worship
Judge blocks Trump administration from making immigration arrests at some places of worship
Washington — A federal judge in Maryland blocked the Trump administration on Monday from carrying out immigration enforcement actions at certain places of worship for Quakers, Cooperative Baptists and Sikhs, who filed a lawsuit challenging President Trump’s unwinding of a Biden-era memo that barred immigration arrests at certain protected locations.
U.S. District Judge Theodore Chuang granted a request for a narrow preliminary injunction sought by the religious groups as they pursue their challenge to Mr. Trump’s directive allowing federal immigration authorities to conduct enforcement actions at places of worship. Chuang’s order does not block the administration’s policy nationwide, and only applies to houses of worship owned or used by the challengers — the Quakers, Cooperative Baptists and Sikhs.
The groups had argued that the new policy allowing immigration arrests at places that were previously considered protected violates their First Amendment rights and burdens the free exercise of religion under federal law.
Chuang found that the threat of enforcement action at houses of worship attended by the three religious communities has caused reductions in attendance by not only immigrants who are in the country illegally, but also by those with legal status who fear they may be mistaken for unauthorized immigrants.
“Where plaintiffs’ communal religious exercise will be significantly and adversely affected by reductions in attendance resulting from immigration enforcement actions pursuant to the 2025 policy, armed law enforcement officers operating in or at places of worship pursuant to the 2025 policy will adversely affect the ability of Quakers and Sikhs to follow their religious beliefs or worship freely,” Chuang wrote in a 59-page opinion.
The judge ordered the Trump administration to reinstate a 2021 memorandum from then-Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas that barred the department and its components from taking enforcement action in certain places that “require special protection,” including schools, medical facilities or places of worship. That memo said immigration enforcement action should not be undertaken at houses of worship “to the fullest extent possible.”
Chuang’s order does not prevent the Trump administration from conducting arrests in or near places of worship when authorized by a warrant.
Mr. Trump’s directive revoking the Biden administration’s memo was issued on his first day in office as part of a series of executive actions aimed at cracking down on immigration. The Trump administration replaced it with a directive stating that “it is not necessary” to “create bright line rules regarding where our immigration laws are permitted to be enforced.”
A press release from the Department of Homeland Security further stated that “criminals will no longer be able to hide in America’s schools and churches to avoid arrest. The Trump administration will not tie the hands of our brave law enforcement, and instead trusts them to use common sense.”

Fiji skipper swaps English club for Welsh one
Fiji captain Waisea Nayacalevu has signed for Welsh club Ospreys as injury cover for Wales centre Owen Watkin until the end of this season.
Nayacalevu, who led his country at the 2023 World Cup in France, has left English Premiership club ***** Sharks with immediate effect.
Watkin suffered a serious knee injury during Wales’ Guinness Six Nations opener against France in Paris, and he is not expected to play again this term.
Nayacalevu, 34, signed a one-year deal with ***** last summer, but he has failed to pin down a regular first-team place.
“Unfortunately, we haven’t seen the best of him in a Sharks shirt, but he is a great guy, a brilliant player, and everyone at ***** wishes him all the best for the future,” ***** rugby director Alex Sanderson told the club’s official website.
Ospreys head coach Mark Jones said: “It is not often a player of Waisea’s calibre becomes available in-season. He brings a wealth of experience and leadership credentials with him.
“We feel Waisea can make an instant impact and be a real difference-maker for us in Owen’s absence, and stands us in good stead in a season where we still have a lot to play for.”

Mecha BREAK Creator Has Planned 3 Seasons Worth of New Mechs
Mecha BREAK Creator Has Planned 3 Seasons Worth of New Mechs
Mecha BREAK, a mecha-based third-person shooter from Amazing Seasun Games, is quickly picking up momentum during its Steam open beta. The game that features both 6v6 objective-based multiplayer matches and a PvPvE mode that combines extraction shooter with battle royale reached 317,000 concurrent players during its first day.
Just days before the start of the open beta, Insider Gaming was invited alongside other media to the developer’s North American office in Irvine, California. During the event, we got to try out the game’s tutorial, its 6v6 mode, and couple matches of the PvPvE mode, Mashmak.
We also got the chance to sit down with the company’s CEO and Mecha BREAK’s creator, Kris Kwok, to talk about the game’s audience, his unique approach to player feedback, and new content fans can expect over the next couple months. During the interview and during Kris’s earlier presentations, one thing became very clear: this is the game he’s always wanted to make.
Mecha BREAK Creator Kris Kwok Says All The Mecha’s Are His “Children”
The following interview has been edited slightly for clarity and length.
IG: You said you’ve always wanted to make a mecha game. What challenges have arisen in trying to make a game that appeals to both mecha fans and the more general gaming audience?
There’s two sides: I have an emotional drive to make this game, and a [more] rational side. At the very beginning, rationally speaking, we weren’t that confident about reaching out to non-mecha fans. Earlier on [around 2021], we were only aiming at the 6v6 mode, but what surprised us and gave us a confidence boost was that in China, which isn’t known as the capital of mecha fans, we still got about a million views within three days on one platform. The reason we’re so confident in the project is that the more we do, the more positive feedback we get.
On the emotional side of things, no matter how good the FPS you make [is], the main vehicle of expression is the person. You’re shooting as a human. So a lot of games, despite other features, kind of feel repetitive. So in this project, what we’re seeking is a novel experience: operating as a mecha to gain that differential from traditional shooter games.
We’re not aiming at a wider audience [by including an extraction shooter]. We would like to bring the experience of operating a mecha to people who like mecha and who like extraction shooters. We’re still serving the core audience of mecha fans first. So we’re doing what we’re good at, which is making the mecha gameplay good. If both [mecha and non-mecha] fans really like it, they’ll naturally introduce it to other people via word-of-mouth.
IG: Mecha BREAK has undergone years of various testing periods. What piece of player feedback from those tests most heavily influenced the current state of the game?
Technically speaking, if the world is behind in the sense that everybody’s running [with] a horse carriage, then they wouldn’t advise you to invent a car yet. They don’t know what they want. So, despite what [players] say, I’d much rather spend time watching how they play. I spent a lot of time watching players’ livestreams and replays. I’m almost addicted to people playing the games I’ve created. A lot of problems were discovered just by watching those replays. In general, players are adequate in providing bug feedback and accessibility feedback, [but] in terms of big visionary direction, they’re just not equipped.
At the beginning we only had 3v3 and 6v6, and could have gone into official launch last year. During a trip to Japan, I realized in the 3v3 and 6v6 matches that players tend not to communicate with each other. And every time they died they got really frustrated. That opens a space that the Japanese players really wanted: a PvE area where they can either solo it or play with a couple friends casually. That’s how we arrived at the decision to make Mashmak. Originally it was teams of six broken down into sub-squads of two or three, but they would get lost in the map very quickly. And with a team of six it’s even harder to coordinate. That’s why I emphasize observation over verbal feedback.
IG: When you first play the tutorial, it almost feels like it’s setting up the story for a single player campaign? Was that something you ever considered for Mecha BREAK?
“We don’t have any official plan to implement a campaign mode, yet. And we are probably not going to go into the traditional linear narration. Instead, most stories are told from fragmentary sources: you go into the Hangar, you interact with the NPCs and the world environment, learn about the lore, and you’ll get to do missions as special characters.
IG: We were told you put hundreds of hours of playtime into each mecha. Which one is your favorite?
Being not only the producer, but the designer of all the weapon and skill sets and ability designs of all the mechas: they are my children. So I can’t pick a favorite. It wouldn’t be fair. The best answer I can give you right now is who I play with more at any given time: whichever one is the weakest [at the time], that’s who I play the most.
IG: How many more mechas do you have in the works? What’s the eventual roster size you want to see?
During the initial rollout, we’re going to have 13 playable mechas, there are six other ones that are completely finished and ready to ship, and three more that are a work in progress. The rollout frequency will be about three mechs per season, so we’ve got the first three seasons reserved already. It’s hard to say how many in total the roster will be, but honestly, but once you have more and more they’re likely going to have functional overlaps. But I’ll try my very best to provide different expressions, visually, control-wise, and mobility-wise.

Blenheim Palace £2.8m gold toilet stolen in minutes, court hears
Blenheim Palace £2.8m gold toilet stolen in minutes, court hears
Thieves stole a £2.8m solid gold toilet from Blenheim Palace in an “audacious raid” which took just five minutes, a court has heard.
The toilet was plumbed in and fully functioning as part of an art exhibition at the Oxfordshire stately home in September 2019.
Michael Jones, 39, from Divinity Road, Oxford denies a charge of burglary. Frederick Sines, 36, also known as Frederick Doe, from Windsor, and 41-year-old Bora Guccuk, from west London, have pleaded not guilty to conspiring to transfer criminal property.
Their trial at Oxford Crown Court was told the toilet was most likely broken up and was never recovered.
Prosecutor Julian Christopher KC told the court that a gang of five in two vehicles drove through locked gates of Blenheim Palace in the early hours of 14 September 2019 and smashed their way into the building with sledgehammers.
The court heard that the sledgehammers were left at the scene.
A photograph was taken about 17 hours before the toilet was stolen and Mr Christopher told the court that Mr Jones had taken it while he was “there as part of the reconnaissance for the burglary”.
Mr Christopher told the court the raid took just five minutes.
He added: “The work of art was never recovered. It appears to have been split up into smaller amounts of gold and never recovered.”
A fourth man, James Sheen, 40, from Wellingborough in Northamptonshire, pleaded guilty to burglary, transferring criminal property and conspiracy to do the same in April 2024, jurors were told.
Entitled America, the 18-carat gold toilet was part of an exhibition by Italian conceptual artist Maurizio Cattelan.
It weighed 98kg and was insured for $6m. Gold prices at the time would have seen the gold alone worth £2.8m in September 2019, the court was told.
The prosecutor said a series of messages, voice notes and screengrabs discovered on Mr Sheen, Mr Doe and Mr Guccuk’s phones showed the trio negotiated a price of £25,632 per kilo for around 20kg of the stolen gold.
It was claimed Mr Guccuk, who ran the jewellers Pacha of London in Hatton Garden, would make a profit of about £3,000 for every kilo he sold on.
The palace is a Unesco World Heritage Site and was the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.
The trial continues.

300 Rush Altar to Receive Christ During Regular Church Service: ‘It’s Absolutely Incredible’
300 Rush Altar to Receive Christ During Regular Church Service: ‘It’s Absolutely Incredible’
Pastor Greg Laurie of Harvest Christian Fellowship is encouraging fellow pastors to make it a habit to share the Gospel message and invite people to accept Christ as their Savior after every message they preach.
Laurie made that appeal after more than 300 people responded to a “brief” gospel invitation last week at his Riverside, California church campus.
In a video posted to social media, the pastor and evangelist wrote “God is moving!”
The Power of the Gospel—People Are Hungry for Truth
I have to tell you—God is moving!
At the end of my message last Sunday, “The Man Who Needed a Second Chance,” I shared a brief Gospel invitation. Almost 300 people responded!

Laurie shared in the post that “people are searching” and are “hungry for truth.”
“In this video from Harvest OC—just a quick clip I shot on my phone—you can see people coming forward at our Riverside campus on the screen, and at OC, stepping out in faith to publicly declare their decision to follow Christ. It’s absolutely incredible,” he wrote.
“Now, a quick word to pastors—consider this: at the end of your message, why not take a moment to share the Gospel and invite people to come to Christ? The harvest is there—but we have to invite them in,” Laurie continued. “And to everyone else—people are searching. They are hungry for truth. They just need someone like you to start the conversation, to point them to Jesus.”
He added, “The ****** says, ‘How will they hear unless someone tells them?’ (Romans 10:14). The answer? They won’t. So let’s step up, speak up, and share the Gospel—because when we do, lives are changed for eternity!”
Laurie founded Harvest Christian Fellowship in 1973 and now oversees its four campuses in California and Hawaii.
He recently preached a message titled, “The Man Who Needed a Second Chance,” at the Riverside campus which prompted those 300 people to respond to the Gospel.
Laurie also shared the same message at the brand-new Harvest Campus in Maui.

As CBN News reported, Laurie quickly moved to build the church after the devastating fires that hit Maui in 2023.

— Greg Laurie (@greglaurie) May 1, 2024
“This Church is not only a light to those that attend it here on the island, especially in the aftermath of the fire, but it is also a place where tourists come and find Christ. Remember to pray for us,” he wrote at the time.
Last May, nearly 100 people gave their lives to Jesus Christ at a two-service outreach hosted by Harvest Maui called “Hope for Lahaina.”
“What do we do when crisis hits? What do we do when the bottom drops out? What do we do when we don’t think we can make it another day? We look to God,” Laurie told the crowd which totaled 3,000 from both services.
“There’s a book that God has given us that has hope in it and that book is called the ******,” he added. “This is where you are going to find the hope that you need. Hope has a name. It’s Jesus.”
The outreach to the Hawaiian community not only featured an encouraging word from Laurie but also worship was led by former “American Idol” contestant Danny Gokey and worship leader Leeland.
Whether he stands before thousands on the beaches of Hawaii, on the shores of California, or in stadiums across the country, Laurie lifts up the name of Jesus and His powerful sacrifice that took place on the cross.
“This is where you’re asking Jesus Christ to come into your life,” he told the Riverside congregation last week. “You’re asking him to forgive you for your sin. Mean it from your heart, and God will hear you.”
He then led them in this prayer:
Lord Jesus, I know that I’m a sinner. But, I know that you’re the Savior who died on the cross for my sins and rose again from the dead. I turn from my sin now, and I choose to follow you from this moment forward. Be my Savior. Be my Lord. Be my God. Be my friend. Thank you for hearing this prayer and answering this prayer. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
The Christian Perspective
If you have been waiting for an opportunity to make Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior, the ****** says “today is the day of salvation.” It’s as simple as praying the prayer you see above.
