********* Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday said retaliatory tariffs on U.S. goods will start Tuesday, if U.S. President Donald Trump follows through with his proposed levies.
Canada will impose tariffs of 25% on C$155 billion ($107 billion) on U.S. goods, with C$30 billion ($20.8 billion) worth of U.S. goods to go into effect on Tuesday, according to a statement. Levies on the remaining C$125 billion ($86.7 billion) will start in 21 days.
“Our tariffs will remain in place until the U.S. trade action is withdrawn, and should U.S. tariffs not cease, we are in active and ongoing discussions with provinces and territories to pursue several non-tariff measures,” Trudeau said.

President Donald Trump confirmed Monday that the U.S. will impose reciprocal tariffs on April 2 against countries that his administration deems are using unfair trade practices.
“Reciprocal tariffs start on April 2,” Trump told reporters at a press conference that was held to announce a $100 billion investment from Taiwan Semiconductor.
The goal of Trump’s policy is reduce the U.S. trade deficit, which he has described as a national security threat in a presidential memorandum signed on Feb. 13.
The European Union is likely to be in the crosshairs when Trump’s reciprocal tariffs take effect. The president has repeatedly criticized the value-added tax on goods and services used in European countries, claiming it puts U.S. companies at a disadvantage.
Trump’s presidential memorandum on reciprocal tariffs specifically calls out the VAT.
Trump threatened during a cabinet meeting last Wednesday to impose 25% tariffs on the EU, claiming the bloc was formed to “****** the United States.”
Total U.S. goods trade with the EU was $975 billion 2024, according to the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. The U.S. had a goods trade deficit of $235.6 billion with the EU.

China has moved quickly to strike back against Trump’s latest tariff plans.
The ******** governments on Tuesday announced retaliatory tariffs on some U.S. goods of up to 15%, starting on March 10, as well as new export controls.
The new tariffs from China are targeted at the U.S. agricultural sector. U.S. corn will face a 15% levy, while soybeans will be hit with a 10% tariff, according to the finance ministry’s website.
The moves come as an additional 10% tariff from the U.S. on ******** good is set to take effect Tuesday.
China’s relationship with the U.S. is bound to see disagreements, but China will not accept pressuring or threatening, Lou Qinjian, spokesperson for the third session of the 14th National People’s Congress, told reporters Tuesday morning.

The stock market has struggled as investors contend with the expected impacts of President Donald Trump’s tariffs on the economy.
The S&P 500 notched its worst day of 2025 on Monday, with losses steepening in the session after Trump made clear that his planned levies would go into effect. With that decline, the broad index is now in the red on the year.
Stocks with notable connections to countries slapped with tariffs have felt the heat. Ford and General Motors are both down in Tuesday’s premarket, extending losses seen this year. Chipotle, which sources about half of its avocados from Mexico, also pulled back before the bell and is down nearly 10% in 2025.

Trump delivers tariffs, escalating a global trade fight
Trump dashed hopes for a last-minute deal that could avoid a trade war with 25% tariffs on goods imported from Canada and Mexico going into place at midnight.
Trump told reporters Monday afternoon there was “no room left for Mexico or for Canada” to negotiate an alternative to the tariffs, which he has threatened to impose for weeks.
Trump on Monday also imposed an additional 10% tariff on ******** imports, doubling the 10% duty he had slapped on Beijing in early February.

How to play Strands
Hint for today’s Strands puzzle
Today’s Strand answers
Strands is a brand new daily puzzle from the New York Times. A trickier take on the classic word search, you’ll need a keen eye to solve this puzzle.
Like Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, Strands can be a bit difficult to solve some days. There’s no shame in needing a little help from time to time. If you’re stuck and need to know the answers to today’s Strands puzzle, check out the solved puzzle below.
How to play Strands
You start every Strands puzzle with the goal of finding the “theme words” hidden in the grid of letters. Manipulate letters by dragging or tapping to craft words; double-tap the final letter to confirm. If you find the correct word, the letters will be highlighted blue and will no longer be selectable.
If you find a word that isn’t a theme word, it still helps! For every three non-theme words you find that are at least four letters long, you’ll get a hint — the letters of one of the theme words will be revealed and you’ll just have to unscramble it.
Every single letter on the grid is used to spell out the theme words and there is no overlap. Every letter will be used once, and only once.
Each puzzle contains one “spangram,” a special theme word (or words) that describe the puzzle’s theme and touches two opposite sides of the board. When you find the spangram, it will be highlighted yellow.
The goal should be to complete the puzzle quickly without using too many hints.

RuneScape’s Developer Has a New CEO in Jon Bellamy
RuneScape’s Developer Has a New CEO in Jon Bellamy
Jagex has announced a change-up at the highest level, with CEO Phil Mansell stepping down and being replaced by Jon Bellamy. Phil has been in the role of Chief Executive Officer at Jagex since 2017 but has been with the company for more than a decade. Jon Bellamy noted that he is excited to communicate his ‘broader vision’ for RuneScape soon.
Handing Over The Baton
In a press release, Phil Mansell expressed his sentiments at stepping back from the role of CEO at Jagex:
After an incredible 14 years leading RuneScape and 8 years as Jagex’s CEO, I’m stepping back and handing over the baton to Jon Bellamy.
Working alongside such a talented and passionate team, we’ve significantly grown the Company and player community, cementing Jagex as an innovator in community-driven games and genuine leader in this industry.
As the Company embarks on its next chapter, I am delighted to be handing over to a leader who I know cares about our games and business as much as I do – and I look forward to supporting him as he builds upon the strong foundations we’ve created.
Bellamy echoed those sentiments:
It’s a great honour to assume the leadership of Jagex and to help steward a game franchise that means so much to so many millions, myself included. I am also excited to get to work with the outstanding team, whom I know well from my time on the Board, to ensure our games continue to be the best in the world.
I plan to spend some time now with the team, reviewing our ambitions for Jagex, and plan to communicate my broader vision to the RuneScape community in the near-term.
Mansell was most recently in the press following an awful proposal made by Jagex to overhaul the paid membership model. It rankled with the community and was taken with an awful reception, and Mansell branded the proposal ‘clumsy and inconsiderate’.
He said that they had failed to think the proposal through from the perspective of a player, and the plans were ultimately scrapped.
Last year, Jagex was in talks regarding a potential billion dollar buyout, but that conversation eventually faded out of the press.

JD Vance sparks row with Ukraine peacekeeping remarks
JD Vance sparks row with Ukraine peacekeeping remarks
The US vice-president has sparked a row with comments he made about the potential involvement of international forces to police a peace deal in Ukraine.
*** opposition politicians accused JD Vance of disrespecting British forces, after he told Fox News a US stake in Ukraine’s economy was a “better security guarantee than 20,000 troops from some random country that hasn’t fought a war in 30 or 40 years”.
The *** and France have said they would be willing to put troops on the ground in Ukraine as part of a peace deal.
Vance has since insisted he did not “even mention the *** or France,” adding both had “fought bravely alongside the US over the last 20 years, and beyond”.
However, he did not specify which country or countries he was referring to.
In a post of social media, he added: “But let’s be direct: there are many countries who are volunteering (privately or publicly) support who have neither the battlefield experience nor the military equipment to do anything meaningful.”
So far only the *** and France have publicly committed troops towards policing any potential peace deal in Ukraine, although Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has previously said a “number of countries” have agreed to commit troops.
Earlier, Vance’s original comments had drawn criticism from *** opposition politicians.
Conservative shadow defence secretary James Cartlidge pointed out both the *** and France deployed forces alongside the US in Afghanistan, adding: “It’s deeply disrespectful to ignore such service and sacrifice.”
Reform *** leader Nigel Farage said Vance was “wrong, wrong, wrong”, adding that the *** “stood by America” for 20 years in Afghanistan.
Liberal Democrat defence spokesperson Helen Maguire, a former captain in the Royal Military Police who served in Iraq, urged the ***’s ambassador to the US, Peter Mandelson, to call on Vance to apologise for the comments.
“JD Vance is erasing from history the hundreds of British troops who gave their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan,” she said.
“I saw firsthand how American and British soldiers fought bravely together shoulder to shoulder. Six of my own regiment, the Royal Military Police, didn’t return home from Iraq. This is a sinister attempt to deny that reality.”
Conservative MP Ben Obese-Jecty, a former British Army officer who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan, said: “The disrespect shown by the new US vice-president to the sacrifices of our service personnel is unacceptable.”
Speaking after Vance posted on social media to defend his comments, Obese-Jecty told BBC Two’s Politics Live programme: “It’s difficult to see who he was talking about, if he wasn’t talking about Britain and France.”
He called on the vice-president to clarify which countries he was referring to, and to apologise, adding that Vance had caused “real offence”.
The *** joined the US invasion of Afghanistan in October 2001, following the 9/11 attacks, with France also sending forces to the country.
More than 150,000 British personnel have served in Afghanistan over the last 20 years, with the final troops withdrawing in 2021.
The *** was also part of a US-led invasion of Iraq in March 2003, with British forces in the country peaking at 46,000.
Vance’s comments came as the US paused military aid to Ukraine, following an explosive spat between President Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office last week.
Zelensky left the White House before a proposed deal on sharing Ukrainian minerals with American companies could be signed.
Speaking about the proposal, Vance told Fox News: “The very best security guarantee is to give Americans economic upside in the future of Ukraine.
“That is a way better security guarantee than 20,000 troops from some random country that hasn’t fought a war in 30 or 40 years.”
Sir Keir has said US security guarantees – such as air cover – will be needed to deter Vladimir Putin from invading Ukraine again, if there is a deal to end the war.
However, Trump has so far refused to offer this, instead arguing that US workers in Ukraine as part of a minerals deal could provide such assurances.

L.A. Noire developer Video Games Deluxe becomes Rockstar Australia
L.A. Noire developer Video Games Deluxe becomes Rockstar Australia
Rockstar Games has acquired Video Games Deluxe, soon to be renamed Rockstar Australia. The studio is based in Sydney and is responsible for the 2017 re-release of L.A. Noire as well as the more recent Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy.
The news might come as a surprise; after all, the two studios have worked alongside one another for years. However, it was just a partnership until this point. “It’s been an honor to work closely with Rockstar Games this past decade,” said Brendan McNamara, founder of Video Games Deluxe. “We are thrilled to part part of Rockstar Games and to continue our efforts to make the best games possible.”
Rockstar’s acquisition of Video Games Deluxe opens the door to more games in each franchise, although neither studio has given any hint as to what’s to come. L.A. Noire was well-received, but has become something of a cult classic — although its fanbase has expressed enthusiastic interest in a follow-up or another game in the same vein.
Rockstar Games
Of course, the most-anticipated Rockstar Games title at the moment is Grand Theft Auto 6, and rumors have swirled regarding the possibility of Red Dead Redemption 3. There’s always the possibility of future games from other franchises, but the chance of seeing a follow-up to Bully or Max Payne is slim to none. Sorry, folks.
Please enable Javascript to view this content
When two studios come together like this, especially when one is a powerhouse like Rockstar Games, it’s always an exciting endeavor. Grand Theft Auto 6 is expected to launch this fall, possibly around mid-September, and will take players back to the familiar streets of Vice City. PC players might have to wait until 2026 to get their hands on the game, but that will give them time to make some (probably) much-needed upgrades; GTA 6 is expected to place some serious demands on PC hardware.

Opera’s Operator will save you the clicks and browse the web for you
Opera’s Operator will save you the clicks and browse the web for you
Opera web browser is entering the agentic era of AI tools. At MWC 2025, the company previewed a new feature called Browser Operator that can turn sentences into actionable commands for web surfing, instead of having users click through different pages and buttons.
All you need to do is write a query in natural language and the AI tool will handle the rest. For example, you can tell the Operator to book three concert tickets on a booking site. The AI browsing agent will select the right boxes, book the tickets, and land you on the final step where you just need to make the payment.
As the browsing agent kicks into action, users will be able to see the step-by-step breakdown of clicks and searches it performs, somewhat like an AI reasoning model. It can also handle multi-step queries, and remembers the context from previous conversations.
How does Operator work?
Nadeem Sarwar / Digital Trends
It’s not a fully autonomous browsing experience. Opera says it will stop at the steps where users might have to intervene, such as filling sensitive information like phone number or car details. At the heart of it all is the AI Composer Engine, which breaks down user queries into browsing instructions.
The best part about the Browser Operator is that it runs privately instead of a cloud environment, which means your data remains safe. “Opera’s Browser Operator runs natively inside your browser, on your device,” says the company. That means information such as cookies or browsing history never leaves your device.
Meet Opera’s Browser Operator – An AI that can do tasks for you on the web
Moreover, instead of looking at a web page as a picture or screenshot, it focuses on its textual representation. That means the AI engine doesn’t have to scroll through the whole webpage, speeding up the whole agentic process as a result.
Since it can interact with UI elements that are otherwise invisible to users, pop-up boxes and verification prompts don’t pose a hurdle. In case any intermediate steps need action, the Operator will ask for users to briefly take over.
Nadeem Sarwar / Digital Trends
Opera is calling it a “human-in-the-loop” approach. For such situations, users can either do the needful on the webpage, or just type the necessary details in the Operator chatbox. At no stage, does the Operator save any information, as that is strictly for the web page to process and handle.
Opera’s Browser Operator is currently in the preview phase and will be released as part of a feature drop in the “near future.” This won’t be the first agentic AI product of its kind, however. OpenAI has also developed its own version of an autonomous tool called Operator, while Gemini Deep Research is another example of a web-based agentic AI product.

Reignbreaker Dev Will Shut Down After Releasing The Game
Reignbreaker Dev Will Shut Down After Releasing The Game
It’s become all too common in the video game industry for small developers to shut down if their game isn’t deemed a success after its debut. Unfortunately for Studio Fizbin, the decision to close its doors can’t even wait another two weeks for the release of its final game, Reignbreaker.
Via Game Developer, Studio Fizbin founder Alexander “Pepe” Pieper shared the news on the company’s official site. According to Pieper, the end of Studio Fizbin is happening in part because the dev team doesn’t have a new project to work on after Reignbreaker is finished. Studio Fizbin’s parent company, Thunderful, is also drastically cutting back on its internal development. Consequently, Studio Fizbin will be closing its doors after an 11-year run that included titles like The Inner World, The Inner World: The Last Wind Monk, Say No! More, Minute of Islands, and Lost at Sea.
However, Studio Fizbin will remain open long enough to ensure that its new roguelike action game, Reignbreaker, is “going to be the best game we’ve ever released.” Following the game’s debut on March 18, Studio Fizbin will provide post-launch support for Reignbreaker while helping its employees find new job opportunities in the industry.
“We want to thank every single one of our fans for your purchases, your fan art, your comments, your reviews, your passion, and your seemingly endless support,” wrote Pieper. “And finally, we’d like to give the biggest thanks to our team–those who are here until the end, and the many others who have found a different path on the way. Fizbin and its games are defined by its team members, and you all made this the most inspiring place to perform the world’s most difficult magic trick: making games.”
Last year, there were large layoffs across the video game industry, and 2025 is already off to a rough start with the closure of Godfall developer Counterplay Games, as well as Warner Bros. Games’ decision to shut down Monolith and two other studios while canceling Monolith’s Wonder Woman game.

Can genetically engineered ‘woolly’ mice help bring back the mammoth?
Can genetically engineered ‘woolly’ mice help bring back the mammoth?
Mice that have been modified to give them a “mammoth-like” coat
Colossal
There are an estimated 1.5 million genetic differences between woolly mammoths and Asian elephants. Colossal Biosciences, the company aiming to resurrect the extinct species through genetic engineering, has now made mice with “mammoth-like” fur, each with up to five genetic changes. There is, it seems, still a way to go.
True, the fur of these mice is long, curly and blondish. In that way, it does resemble the coats of woolly mammoths preserved in permafrost. However, it isn’t clear that making the same genetic changes to Asian elephants – which have far fewer hairs per area of skin – would have similar results.
“The work done on these mice does not mean that there is a ready solution to bring back a mammoth phenotype,” says team member Love Dalén at Stockholm University in Sweden, who is on Colossal’s scientific advisory board. “As you point out, we also need to figure out how to make the fur grow more.”
Creating Asian elephants with these genetic changes will also be much harder than doing it in mice. “Engineering mutations in mice is a well-established process and not particularly challenging,” says Dusko Ilic at King’s College London.
A modified and unmodified mouse
Colossal
Techniques that work in mice often fail in other species, and the size of elephants and their slower reproduction will vastly increase the time and costs involved. “Those methods have not been developed for elephants and it won’t be easy just based on the anatomy,” says Vincent ****** at the University at Buffalo, New York. “That is probably the biggest challenge.”
But ****** has no doubt it is achievable. Indeed, Thomas Hildebrandt at the Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research in Berlin, Germany – another Colossal advisor – told New Scientist that his team has collected eggs from elephants for the first time, though the results haven’t yet been published. Egg collection is a key step in IVF and the genetic modification of mammals.
So how did Colossal make its “mammoth” mice? The researchers began by looking for known mutations in mice that make their fur look mammoth-like. “[T]he majority of these genes were selected based on previous observations of coat phenotypes in mice,” they write in a paper released today, which hasn’t been peer-reviewed.
They identified eight genes that affect the pattern (curliness), colour and length of hair when disabled in mice. Of these eight, one was naturally disabled in mammoths, according to Colossal.
From the mammoth genome, the team also identified a small mutation thought to affect hair pattern, along with another disabled gene involved in **** metabolism.
The company then tried altering these genes in mice. For instance, in one experiment, it tried using CRISPR gene editing to disable five of these genes in fertilised eggs. From 134 edited eggs, 11 pups were born and in one of these pups, both copies of the five genes were disabled.
Preserved fur on a frozen mammoth trunk
Alamy Stock Photo
In another study, the researchers used a form of CRISPR called base editing to disable several of the genes in embryonic mice stem cells. They combined this with another technique called homologous recombination to make the exact mutation found in the mammoth genome. Making precise changes is much harder than disabling genes – but the recombination method only works well in mice.
The team then sequenced the cells to identify ones with the desired changes and injected them into mice embryos to create chimeric mice. Of 90 embryos injected, seven mice with the four intended changes were born.
These experiments can be said to be successful in terms of producing some mice with the desired physical changes to their fur, but only one of the genetic changes exactly matches what is seen in the mammoth genome. A lot more work is needed to achieve Colossal’s stated aim of creating “a cold-resistant elephant with all of the core biological traits of the woolly mammoth” – and with elephant pregnancies lasting around two years, Colossal is running out of time to meet its self-imposed 2028 deadline.
“An elephant with a fur will not be a mammoth in the way we think of it,” says Juan Antonio Rodríguez at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Many of the 1.5 million differences between the genomes of mammoths and Asian elephants may have no effect, he says, but we don’t know for sure which ones do matter.
Even if we did, making more extensive changes is risky, says Rodríguez. “The more things you change in an organism, the more likely it is that you end up messing up with key metabolic pathways or genes.”
Rodríguez, ****** and Ilic are all against bringing back the mammoth. ****** reels off a long list of reasons why he thinks it is a bad idea, from the mammoths’ habitat no longer existing to the ethical aspects of trying to genetically modify elephants – even in humans, for instance, collecting eggs for IVF remains a risky and painful procedure.
“Mammoths are extinct and cannot be ‘de-extincted’ or resurrected,” says ******. “All they can do is make an elephant look like a mammoth.”

Focused on privacy and security, Oppo is now implementing a confidential computing system powered by Google Cloud. The company calls it Private Computing Cloud (PCC), which sounds similar to Apple’s Private Cloud Compute system announced last year. Oppo did not delve deeper into how the confidential cloud processing will work. Initially, the tech giant will power AI Recording Summary, AI Search, AI Studio, and AI Call Summary will be processed via PCC.
Oppo also highlighted that its current AI development strategy is focused on three pillars — AI productivity, AI creativity, and AI imaging. To bring new AI experiences under this umbrella, the company is working with chipmaker MediaTek to optimise chips for real-time AI processing while maintaining energy efficiency.
Oppo’s Upcoming AI Features
Apart from these, the consumer tech brand also announced that it is updating its AI feature deployment strategy. Going forward, Oppo will release an average of one new AI update every month. Some of the upcoming updates will include innovations such as AI Search and integration of Oppo apps with Gemini. These will first be rolled out to the Oppo Find N5.
Oppo also previewed two new AI features that users can look forward to. First is AI Call Translator, which will interpret calls in multiple languages in real-time. The feature will enable users to understand calls from people who speak a different language. The second is AI VoiceScribe, which will offer multi-use voice summarisation across voice calls, online meetings, and more.

Trump Addresses Congress Tonight: From Ukraine to DOGE, ‘I Will Tell It Like It Is’
Trump Addresses Congress Tonight: From Ukraine to DOGE, ‘I Will Tell It Like It Is’
The Trump administration is making big moves today, putting tariffs on goods from Mexico and Canada and increasing the price on imports from China. Some of those countries are already retaliating with tariffs on U.S. products.
The administration also announced it’s pausing military aid to Ukraine. All this comes as the president delivers his first address to a joint session of Congress tonight.
As the country and world wait for President Trump’s ********** address, he stated on Truth Social, “I will tell it like it is.”
The president will face Congress on the heels of Friday’s heated Oval Office encounter with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The tense exchange disrupted a planned rare minerals deal between the two countries that Trump predicted would have led to ending the war between Ukraine and Russia. While the president is expected to talk about the war, Republican and Democrat members are still reacting to the meltdown. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) said, “I was appalled by what happened in the Oval Office.”
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said, “Look, I think what’s really important here is to understand the dynamic. The President is basically saying there’s this horrible war, it’s been going on for three years, it is a bloody stalemate, a meatgrinder type war, and he wants it to end. How does it end? It’s very simple. The only way it ends is if Vladimir Putin comes to a negotiating table. And right now, President Trump is the only person on Earth who has any chance whatsoever of bringing him to a table to see what it is he would be willing to end the war on.”
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) invited the president to address Congress. In his letter, Johnson wrote, “Your administration and the 119th Congress working together have the chance to make these next four years some of the most consequential in our nation’s history.”
And the president is moving at breakneck speed to fulfill promises made during the campaign. Through hundreds of executive orders, Trump has literally changed the government. From eliminating DEI programs to targeting waste through DOGE led by Elon Musk, the president has been cutting the federal workforce, dismissing thousands of civil servants. Democrat leaders in sharp disagreement with these moves have urged members to bring fired federal workers to the joint session tonight to highlight the personal impact of the administration’s actions.
Expect President Trump to also talk about his priority for securing the southern border by expanding deportations and improving the economy, the top issue for American voters. During his inauguration, Trump talked about leading the country into “a golden age for America,” which could be challenging given the narrow Republican majorities in the House and Senate.
Meanwhile, polls show most Americans approve of the president’s actions.
The Democratic Party’s response will be given by newly elected Senator Elisa Slotkin of Michigan because, they say, she appeals to working class voters.

Why Honda and Toyota are investing in rockets and satellites
Why Honda and Toyota are investing in rockets and satellites
In January, Toyota said its mobility software subsidiary “Woven by Toyota” was investing $44 million into Japanese rocket maker Interstellar Technologies. Rival Honda has been developing a proprietary reusable rocket since 2019 to launch low-earth orbit satellites to space. ******** automaker Geely Holding Group, a Tesla competitor, has invested $326 million to manufacture its own satellites.
“What are those satellites going to be used for and what are they already being used for?” said Micah Walter-Range, president of consulting firm Caelus Partners. “Some of it is for improving navigation services for cars. Some of it’s for mapping. If you think about what’s going to be needed a little further down the road for autonomous vehicles, having full awareness of what’s going on on the road is incredibly valuable.”
Cars today use satellite connectivity for tracking and location, software updates and entertainment like satellite radio. But as cars become more and more connected, automakers need the infrastructure to make that possible. That’s where satellites, and the rockets needed to launch them, come into play. One recent report estimates that by 2030, connected vehicles could be a $742 billion annual revenue opportunity for automakers and suppliers.
“In the smartphone world, Apple is shifting from a single device ***** to additional services that can be provided throughout the life of that device,” Walter-Range said. “So for a car, it’s the same deal. You know, once you sell that car, are there additional revenue streams that you can get by providing services? Some of those services can be delivered from space.”
One model is charging subscriptions for advanced driver assistance systems. General Motors‘ Super Cruise uses cameras, sensors and real-time location and map data from GPS satellites to allow the vehicle to do things like automatically steer and keep the car centered in a lane. In the company’s fourth-quarter earnings report, GM CEO Mary Barra said the company expected that within the next five years, Super Cruise would bring in about $2 billion in annual revenue for the company.
Watch the video to find out how else automakers and car companies can benefit from each other.

Bank of America slashes Tesla price target as U.S. tariffs become reality
Bank of America slashes Tesla price target as U.S. tariffs become reality
Tesla could have less room to run in 2025 as U.S. tariffs take hold, according to Bank of America. The firm lowered its price target on the electric vehicle stock to $380 per share from $490 and reiterated its neutral rating. BofA’s forecast implies more than 33% upside from Monday’s close. Analyst John Murphy attributed the lower price objective to “renewed uncertainty” in 2025, and pointed to President Donald Trump’s tariffs as a headwind for production in North America. Levies on *********, ******** and ******** imports took hold on Tuesday, with China and Canada issuing retaliatory duties. “We note that potential tariffs on Mexico and Canada pose significant risk to our NA production estimates and could create a supply shock similar to COVID,” Murphy said. The analyst also pointed to a slowing of Tesla’s vehicle production in Europe year-over-year, as well as a lack news on the company’s low-cost model and “sentiment on the brand potentially souring.” The analyst noted that he expects overall industry dynamics to be inconsistent in 2025. “Early in 2025, there are material and potentially disruptive changeovers at F (Ford Motor, Kentucky Truck) and TSLA (Tesla, Model Y globally), while GM (General Motors) is largely clear,” Murphy said. “The resulting volume disruption and macroeconomic headwinds should continue to haunt suppliers, but cost actions flowing through the P & L should support flat to up margins.” Tesla stock has pulled back nearly 30% in 2025. TSLA YTD mountain Tesla stock.

Opposition MPs hurl smoke grenades in Serbia parliament
Opposition MPs hurl smoke grenades in Serbia parliament
Serbian opposition MPs have thrown smoke grenades and tear gas inside parliament to protest against the government and support demonstrating students, with one legislator suffering a stroke during the chaos.
Four months of student-led demonstrations have drawn in teachers, farmers and others to become the biggest threat yet to President Aleksandar Vucic’s decade-long rule, with many Serbians denouncing corruption and incompetence in government.
At the legislative session, after the ruling coalition led by the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) approved the agenda, some opposition politicians ran out of their seats towards the parliamentary speaker and scuffled with security guards.
Others tossed smoke grenades and tear gas, with live TV showing ****** and pink smoke inside the parliament, which has also been the scene of brawls and throwing of water in the decades since the introduction of multi-party democracy in 1990.
Speaker Ana Brnabic said two MPs were injured, with one, Jasmina Obradovic of the SNS party, suffering a stroke and in critical condition.
“The parliament will continue to work and to defend Serbia,” she told the session.
As the session continued, ruling coalition politicians debated while opposition MPs whistled and blew horns.
Opposition deputies also held signs reading “general strike” and “justice for the killed” while outside the building protesters stood in silence to honour 15 people killed by a railway station roof collapse that was the spark for the protest movement.
Protest leaders called for a major rally in the capital Belgrade on March 15.
The ruling coalition says foreign intelligence agencies are trying to destabilise Serbia and topple the government by backing the protests.
Parliament was due on Tuesday to adopt a law increasing funds for universities – one of the main demands of students blocking faculties since December.
Parliament had also been due to note the resignation of Prime Minister Milos Vucevic.
But other items put on the agenda by the ruling coalition angered the opposition.

The best fan games of all time
The best fan games of all time
The tools for making video games are more accessible than ever. We’re not only seeing the rise of amazing indie games, but even entire projects made by a single person. While a lot of these are new IPs that are clearly inspired by the likes of the best Mario and Pokemon games, others are so passionate about their favorite franchise that they create an entire fan game in that series. Because they can’t legally sell a game using a publisher’s IP, these fan games are pure works of passion from the developers. Whether it is a franchise that hasn’t seen the light of day for years or one that has fallen off in terms of delivering what the fans want, fan games are there to deliver a new experience that can even overshadow the real thing. At the same time, a lot of fan games can be a major disappointment due to a lack of experience and oversight. We have picked out only the most impressive fan games of all time that are worth playing alongside the original franchise.

Latest Windows 11 update slows Intel’s newest desktop processors
Latest Windows 11 update slows Intel’s newest desktop processors
Microsoft’s latest Windows 11 24H2 (KB5050094 and KB5051987) updates are causing some serious performance issues, especially for Intel Core Ultra 9 285K users, as Neowin reports. The updates interfere with CPU speeds when a user minimizes a program or the app is out of focus. However, older Intel processors remain unaffected.
It’s reported that apps are “massively throttled,” causing the CPU’s clock rate to drop significantly and deteriorating overall performance. Some users have resorted to using beta BIOS or changing power settings to preserve CPU performance during background processes. The Intel Core Ultra 9 285K slowdown is causing some major headaches as the issues occur across various apps, including Prime95 and 7Zip. This suggests that the 24H2 performance issues are not limited to one app but are linked to KB 5050094 and KB5051987 updates.
A Windows 11 user claims the performance in 7Zip’s benchmark was cut in half when the user minimized the program. Even though the user distributed the workload across all 24 Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor cores, the performance issues continued. However, users with older processors, such as the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X and the Intel Core i9-12900K, did not experience these problems. As a result, there is a possibility that the latest Windows 11 update bugs could be limited to Intel’s latest LGA 1851 platform. So far, there is no indication that this is a widespread update problem, despite reports of software crashes and incompatibilities.
What makes the Windows 11 performance issues even more interesting is that the Intel Ultra 9 285K processor is on Microsoft’s CPU support list for Windows 11. Clearly, the affected processor is not among the best Intel processors, but that doesn’t mean Microsoft can delay fixing the issue. Speaking of a fix, Microsoft has not announced a fix yet, but hopefully, the software giant will release a solution soon.

How to clean all the screens in your home
How to clean all the screens in your home
Whether you’re talking about the screen of an old laptop or that brand new OLED TV you just bought, all displays get dusty and dirty over time. You may be hesitant to give the screens in your home a thorough cleaning; the fact there are so many products claiming to do it best certainly doesn’t help. In my experience, the best approach is the simplest. If you want to refresh all of the screens in your home, I’ll outline the best way to clean them.
How not to clean your screens
Photo by Igor Bonifacic / Engadget
Before we get to how to clean a screen, there are a few ways you don’t want to go about the process. The first and most important is that you don’t want to clean any display using substances like isopropyl alcohol or Windex. Alcohol- and ammonia-based cleaners can damage a screen’s anti-reflective or glossy coating, and using those substances repeatedly can lead to clouding and the coating becoming uneven.
Companies like Whoosh make cleaning products that won’t damage your screen, but in my experience, you’re better off using distilled water. It’s more affordable than a dedicated cleaning agent. Plus, it’s more versatile since you can use it on a variety of surfaces. It also won’t leave behind any residue on your display, which is something I’ve seen products like Whoosh do occasionally. You can buy distilled water at a grocery store or make it yourself with some simple cookware.
It’s possible to use tap water, but we don’t recommend it. Depending on the hardness of the water in your area and how the municipality you live in treats it, there may be minerals and chemicals that will leave behind residue or, worse, damage your display.
Once you have some distilled water, you’ll want a separate spray bottle. One option is to reuse one you already have at home, but if you don’t have a spare, Muji makes handy travel bottles in 100ml, 50ml and 30ml sizes that are perfect for the task. You can also find similar options on Amazon.
Next, be mindful of what you use to wipe your screen. You want to avoid using paper towels, dish rags or anything else that may have an abrasive surface that will damage the display’s coating. You can use the sleeve of an old (but clean) t-shirt, but you’ll get the best results using a microfiber cloth.
Microfiber is extremely soft and good at attracting dust. We suggest buying a pack of rags so that you always have a clean one ready. The last thing you want to do is use a dirty one and transfer any dirt and grime onto your display.
Lastly, avoid spraying any liquid directly on a display. You’ll have a lot more control if you deposit it on your microfiber cloth and it’s much easier to avoid any of it making its way into the more sensitive parts of the display.
How to clean your screens
Photo by Igor Bonifacic / Engadget
With all that out of the way, the actual process of cleaning a display is straightforward. If you’re only dealing with some dust, use a can of compressed air or an air blower to dislodge it. You can also turn to a dry microfiber cloth.
For anything more than that, dampen your microfiber cloth with a small amount of distilled water and then gently wipe the display. Once you’ve gone over the entire surface, turn over the cloth and use the dry side to remove any excess water. At this stage, avoid buffing the screen or using excessive pressure. You don’t want to work any particles into the surface of the screen.
That’s it. You should have a clean display now. Naturally, it will take longer to clean a ******* screen, but you can put to use the tips mentioned for all types of displays, including TVs, monitors and glass smartphone displays.
