“Hatch Tales, as late as it is in arriving, has ended up really surprising us. This is a delightful retro platformer, full of challenge and focus, that gives you a whole bunch of fun ways to play. Even with just the core campaign, with its smart level design and laser-like focus on doing what it’s doing very well, we’d have been satisfied, but the addition of retro Chick Wiggle and Mutant Mudds modes, alongside the online creation offerings, make for a very tidy package indeed, thank you very much.” – PJ O’Reilly | NintendoLife

Boxer Anthony Mundine found guilty of flouting Covid regulations after years-long legal battle
Boxer Anthony Mundine found guilty of flouting Covid regulations after years-long legal battle
NRL star turned champion boxer Anthony Mundine has celebrated the end of a three-year legal battle and a “burden off the back” after being found guilty of flouting Covid restrictions.
The 49-year-old appeared before Bankstown Local Court on Tuesday for judgment after pleading not guilty to a charge of not complying with a Covid notice direction on July 21, 2021.
Police alleged the retired athlete, also known as ‘The Man’, ******* to scan a QR code to check in to a Bunnings store in Kingsgrove, in Sydney’s south, when NSW was in lockdown.
The outspoken former St George Illawarra Dragons player was also allegedly not wearing a mask while he was inside the store, but claimed he was exempt from the mask mandate.
In his judgment, magistrate Glenn Walsh said Mr Mundine did not have a reasonable excuse for not complying with the regulations, but had a “point of principle he wanted to argue”.
“He simply had a point of view he thought was right, but that he now knows is wrong … He gave evidence he was very sorry for what he did,” the magistrate told the court.
“He was very polite to everyone working there (Bunnings) that day and was very well known. When he spoke to police, he put forward a point of view that I did not uphold.”

Noting the dismissal of 33,000 Covid fines, of which Mr Mundine’s would likely have been included had he not come to court, Mr Walsh dismissed the case without conviction or punishment.
The court was told the champion boxer received incorrect advice from his lawyer, who did not give evidence and referred to only as “Nige”, about the validity of Covid-era regulations.
Mr Mundine told staff at the Bunnings and later police that the regulations supposedly breached privacy and biosecurity laws, and lacked legitimacy as they had not passed the Upper House.
Despite claiming in court he was uninformed about the laws, Mr Walsh said Mr Mundine had not wanted to comply with the Covid regulations and sought out a “pseudo basis to say so”.
“The defendant (Mr Mundine) sought advice prior to going to Bunnings. He knew of the relevant restrictions, and did not want to be bound by them,” Mr Walsh told the court.
“He may sincerely have held his belief that he was not bound. The advice which he sought was nonsensical. His assertion to police of familiarity with the acts was patently untrue.”
He went on to add: “It was not as if he challenged the legality of the order in the Supreme Court. He simply decided that he could go to Bunnings and shop and not comply”.
Staff at the Bunnings store gave evidence during the hearing that Mr Mundine had told them he was “not liable to scan the QR code or wear a mask” when he was stopped by security.
Questioned by one of the staff upon exiting, Mr Mundine said “I didn’t mean to be rude to the other guy before. What you guys are doing is ********. You can’t legally make me check in”.
They said Mr Mundine added: “It’s ******** what you’re doing, it is against the privacy and biosecurity act and I can sue you if I want to. If I had filmed you, I could sue you.”
Camera IconThe court found the champion boxer did not have a ‘reasonable excuse’. NewsWire / Jenny Evans Credit: News Corp Australia
Question by police later that day at his home, Mr Mundine – after seeking legal advice – informed officers that he had no comment and a right to silence, before making admissions.
He told officers he did not have to wear a mask because of a medical condition, adding that it was his “human right … protected under the privacy act, I know a bit of my *****”.
Going on to quote supposed breaches of biosecurity laws, Mr Mundine told officers: “I don’t have to do it. The biosecurity act protects me … You guys have to get schooled on that.”
Later in evidence, Mr Mundine said he did not remember where he learned about the supposed breaches of the law posed by Covid regulations, citing his lawyer and his cousin “Simmy”.
Asked if he would do the same if he was presented with the same situation today, Mr Mundine admitted he would comply with the regulations despite his otherwise outspoken views.
“I probably was just pumped up from all the info I got or believed in at the time … I’m proud person, I felt violated. Violated. My rights were violated … I just felt wronged, hard done by.
“Everything was pretty crazy … as a human being I felt not just me but everyone was getting violated … I like to lead. I just thought I was doing the right thing, but I obviously wasn’t.”
Outside court, Mr Mundine said he was “glad it was finally over. It’s a burden off the back”.

China Unveils New Space Shuttle That Totally Doesn’t Look Familiar At All
China Unveils New Space Shuttle That Totally Doesn’t Look Familiar At All
Gif: SciNews / YouTube
A common saying often attributed to Oscar Wilde is that “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness,” and the latest example of that comes from the space race. China unveiled a new space shuttle last week to keep the Tiangong station supplied as the nation expands its space operations. The Haolong shuttle suspiciously shares the same white with ****** thermal tile underbelly design as NASA’s retired shuttle.
The Haolong shuttle is different in one important way from the Space Shuttle: It’s unmanned. The ******** shuttle is designed simply to launch cargo up to Tiangong and return cargo to Earth. China’s space program previously didn’t have a method of bringing back equipment from orbit, as the current Tianzhou spacecraft is designed to ***** up on re-entry. Space.com reported:
The shuttle’s engineers are already hailing the design. “The Haolong space cargo shuttle is a winged aircraft with an aerodynamic design featuring a large wingspan and a high lift-to-drag ratio,” Fang Yuanpeng, chief designer of Haolong, told China Central Television (CCTV). “With a blunt-nosed fuselage and large, swept-back delta wings, it combines the characteristics of both spacecraft and aircraft, allowing it to be launched into orbit by a rocket and land on an airport runway like a plane,” he added.
However, this isn’t the first time that there has been a concerted ******** effort to mimic ********* space technology. State-backed startup DeepBlue is attempting to recreate SpaceX’s vertical landing reusable rockets and captured incredible footage when a test ******* catastrophically in September. The company, just like SpaceX, claimed it learned a lot from its rocket exploding on the landing pad.

If we are talking about the franchise as a whole, then they already do that. Just not in the games. Those indeed feature a more blank slate that allows players to choose their dialogue options and mold their characters, but if you look at the manga and the anime, you get very distinct personalities for the main characters. A prime example is Yu from Persona 4. Most fans consider him the most unassuming of the protagonists, but in the anime, he’s a complete menace, going totally off the rails and hilariously over-the-top.
And that’s sort of the issue, in my opinion. An anime or manga follows a set route, but a game does not. If you inject too much personality into the blank slate of a game character, you risk losing that blank slate. Although I agree that more organic dialogue would be nice, not just with the social links but in general, however these games are already massive as they are, so I understand why they might choose to keep it on the simpler side.

Tesla helps the Nasdaq snap its losing streak

What you need to know today
Individual stocks sway indexesOn Monday, the S&P 500 rose 0.4% and the Nadaq Composite added 0.6%, mostly spurred higher by Tesla. Shares of Goldman Sachs and Salesforce fell, causing the Dow Jones Industrial Average to drop 0.1%. Asia-Pacific markets traded higher on Tuesday. Mainland China’s CSI 300 rose 0.42% as investors awaited China’s loan prime rate announcement on Wednesday.
Autonomous vehicles on the agendaTesla shares jumped 5.6% after it was reported that President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming administration plans to draw up a federal framework that will regulate self-driving vehicles. The regulatory framework would make adoption of self-driving cars much easier. CNBC could not independently verify the report.
Super Micro aims for Nasdaq complianceSuper Micro Computer has hired BDO as a new auditor and submitted a plan to Nasdaq to ensure compliance with the exchange, the company said in a statement. Shares closed 16% higher and were up over 39% in after-hours trading. Super Micro’s market capitalization has tumbled from around $70 billion at its peak to $12.6 billion as of Monday after investors learned of the company’s compliance troubles.
Challenges in Hong Kong and ChinaChina will boost Hong Kong’s status as an “international financial status,” according to a CNBC translation of ******** Vice-Premier He Lifeng’s speech at a financial summit in Hong Kong. Capital flight has caused the Hang Seng index to be the worst-performing major index last year. But China itself faces a “Herculean challenge” in meeting its growth target, said veteran investor Howard Marks.
[PRO] Goldman goes for goldGoldman Sachs is bullish on gold. The Wall Street bank expects gold to hit $3,000 per ounce by December 2025, and encourages investors to “Go For Gold,” as it put in a note from Nov. 17. Other banks like JPMorgan and UBS, however, aren’t so confident about the precious metal’s prospects.
The bottom line
Investors are waiting for Nvidia’s earnings report on Wednesday.
“The star this week is our friend Nvidia,” said Kim Forrest, chief investment officer at Bokeh Capital Partners, highlighting its importance to all the key indexes with its recent inclusion in the Dow. “Unless some information comes out before then, the market is going to wait and see what’s going on with Nvidia.”
Shares of Nvidia fell 1.3% on a report from The Information that the company’s new Blackwell chips tend to overheat when connected to custom servers. Nvidia’s drop had the largest negative effect on the S&P and Nasdaq, dragging down the former by 0.52 points and the latter by 23 points.
However, Tesla — which has mostly seen large gains since Trump won the elections — managed to more than make up for Nvidia’s loss. Tesla shares jumped 5.6%, contributing to a 0.62-point increase in the S&P and 47-point rise in the Nasdaq.
That helped the S&P achieve its first winning day in three, and the Nasdaq break its four-day losing streak.
“The market is set up well for equities, and investors are not going to see the pullback they want,” said Andrew Slimmon, Morgan Stanley Investment Management’s head of the applied equity advisors team.
For now, despite the market’s losses last week, “a strong economy, the Fed continually cutting rates, and strong Q3 earnings” will provide support for stocks, said Slimmon.
After Wednesday, investors will find out if there’s another pillar that will hold up the markets in the near future.

Germany’s Thyssenkrupp on Tuesday reported a 1-billion-euro ($1.06 billion) impairment on its struggling steel division as the industrial powerhouse flagged “gloomy volume” expectations and structural challenges in the sector.
The firm said its net loss of 1.5 billion euros in the fiscal year ending Sept. 30 — after deducting ********* interest — was mainly due to asset impairments totaling around 1.2 billion euros, of which 1 billion euros were undertaken by its Steel Europe division.
“In respect of our main strategic issues, the current fiscal year will be a year of decisions – especially for Steel Europe and Marine Systems,” CEO Miguel Lopez said in the firm’s Tuesday statement.
“In parallel, we are seeking to further improve the performance of all our businesses and better leverage the opportunities presented by the green transformation.”

The Case of the Golden Idol Review | TheXboxHub
WTMG’s Leo Faria: “I will commend The Case of the Golden Idol for being an excruciatingly smart game with a neat method of developing its lore and world-building, but its mystery solving gameplay loop, while engaging for those into whodunits, features some flaws worth pointing out. Solving a case is really rewarding, but getting stuck in a particular puzzle feels punishing, with the game nearly starting to treat you in a condescending way if you start using its (tiresome) hint system too often. With that being said, if you’re into the genre, and want to tackle something else that resembles Return of the Obra Dinn in any way, shape or form, The Case of the Golden Idol is still a pretty decent pick.”

What’s More Delusional? The Most Boring *********’s Creed Game Getting 60fps Update or Ubisoft Actually Believing We’ll Play it on a $700 PS5 Pro
Ubisot seems to be making up for the delayed release of its next installation in the *********’s Creed franchise, *********’s Creed Shadows, which is now expected to be released on February 14, 2025.
Ubisoft needs to do better to be back in the good books of fans. Image Credit: Ubisoft
It seems to have come up with a new patch update for one of the weakest games in the franchise. The update will let you play the game at 60 fps and will also be playable at 4K now on Xbox Series X, PS5, and PS5 Pro. It is audacious of the studio to believe we will play this game on a $700 PS5 Pro.
This Is Not The *********’s Creed Game That Fans Wanted
*********’s Creed Syndicate is the 9th edition of the franchise. Image Credit: Ubisoft
The last few *********’s Creed games have been a little underwhelming. However, that was supposed to change with the release of *********’s Creed Shadows, which is the first game to be set in feudal Japan and lets you play as a shinobi and samurai.
The fate of the franchise was in its hands, but its inevitable delay caused a lot of frustration among fans. Ubisoft has not come up with an upgraded version of *********’s Creed Syndicate, which is by far one of the most boring and weakest games in the franchise. It is the ninth edition of these games.
Ubisoft is offering players a chance to play the 2015 title with better video quality at higher fps. You can play the game now at 60FPS with 4K enabled for most consoles. However, fans are wondering about what’s more sad, playing a boring game or playing it on a $700 console.
*********’s Creed Syndicate is by no means worth the hype, even after a massive upgrade that is going to make the game feel fresh and new. The game lacks a good narrative structure and has very little to do.
Ubisoft Needs To Focus On The Next Big Thing
Ubisoft should instead focus on developing *********’s Creed Shadows. Image Credit: Ubisoft
Instead of giving us upgraded versions of its old games, it should focus on developing the upcoming game, which is highly anticipated. The game was supposed to be released in November 2024 but was inevitably delayed a couple of months further.
This is one of the most anticipated games from Ubisoft. It will be the first time we will get to venture into the land of Japan during the feudal age. Even the protagonists seem to have a rich background and narrative attached to them.
However, the dream of playing the game soon is clearly not looking like it might get fulfilled anytime soon. Instead, we get a boring old game to play until the franchise’s next installment is released, and that too on the most expensive console on the market yet. What do you think about it? Let us know in the comments below.

Plane ****** at Doylestown Airport injures two. What we know now
(This story was updated to accurately reflect the most current information.)
Two people were injured after a single-engine plane crashed while landing at Doylestown Airport on Monday afternoon.
Preliminary reports are that three people were in the six-seat plane when it stalled and crashed while attempting to land at the airport in the 3800 block of Old Easton Road, Bucks County spokesman James O’Malley said.
The passengers were able to exit the plane, and two were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries, O’Malley said. Their names and conditions were not immediately known Monday afternoon.
Two planes were involved in an on-ground collision at Doylestown Airport in Buckingham Township on Monday, Nov. 18, 2024.
The plane struck a second plane on the runway when it crashed, and it’s believed that the second plane that was hit was unoccupied, O’Malley said. Flight records show the second plane has not been in the air for the last 14 days.
At the airport, several people appeared to be investigating the planes, which were cordoned off with yellow caution tape several hours after the ******. The nose of a Beechcraft plane appeared to be underneath the second airplane, which appeared to be a double-engine.
Airport employees declined to comment.
One other aircraft was scheduled to fly out or into the airport Monday, according to flightaware.com. The earlier flight had returned when the ****** happened and it was not involved, the website showed.
A 1993 Beechcraft Bonanza took off from Doylestown Airport shortly before noon and returned after 23 minutes, according to Flightaware. Records show that the plane last traveled round-trip between the Doylestown Airport and Reading Regional Airport on Nov. 11.

Sony in Talks to Buy FromSoftware’s Parent Company, Report Claims
Sony in Talks to Buy FromSoftware’s Parent Company, Report Claims
In an exclusive report published today by Reuters, it was claimed that Sony is in talks to purchase Kadokawa, the corporation that owns the majority of FromSoftware, the developer of Elden Ring. It was claimed in the report that Sony wants to acquire the ‘media powerhouse’ and that a deal could be signed ‘in the coming weeks’.
Despite the claims being corroborated by two trusted sources close to Reuters and the deal, both Sony and Kadokawa have declined to comment.
Another Bag
Sony is reportedly looking to acquire FromSoftware’s parent corporation, Kadokawa. That claim comes hot off the press from Reuters in an exclusive report, and it comes just a few months after FromSoft released Shadow of the Erdtree, an expansion so good it’s being considered for Game of the Year at the upcoming The Game Awards showcase.
Presently, Kadokawa owns a 70% stake in FromSoftware, and Sony has around a 14% share. Rolling it up, Sony already has a 2% stake in Kadokawa Corporation, but other gaming titans, like Tencent, also own a piece of the company.
Kadokawa’s history stretches back to 1945, when the company was founded as a publisher of books and magazines, before expanding to cover video games in the 1990s. FromSoftware has been operational since 1986 when it was founded to create ‘business software’ Like Kadokawa, FromSoftware turned to video games in the 1990s.

GSCA 2024-25: Katanning Wanderers’ Joe Raynor and Kojonup’s Geoffrey Pethick hit tons to secure big victories
Katanning Wanderers’ Joe Raynor and Kojonup’s Geoffery Pethick scored crucial centuries to help their sides clinch victories in round seven of the Great Southern Cricket Association on Saturday.
Englishman Raynor crunched an unbeaten 111 from 108 ****** to guide the Tigers to a thrilling two-run win over Kendenup in Katanning and notch their second consecutive victory.
Pethick’s unbeaten 118, which came from just 83 deliveries, spearheaded the Cougars’ near-flawless run chase in Kojonup as the hosts chased down Australs North’s total in the 25th over.
After strolling to the crease when the Tigers were 2-41, Raynor belted 11 fours and one six, and combined with Ely Anderson (33no) for a pivotal 101-run partnership for the sixth wicket to help the hosts post 5-226.
In reply, Kendenup mounted a brilliant chase after Jakob Douglas (96) and Dwayne Sobey’s (56no) 103-run eighth-wicket partnership.

Needing seven runs off the final Anderson over, Sobey faced four straight dot ****** and, despite hitting a boundary off the last delivery, Kendenup fell two runs shy.
Aggressive opener Pethick belted 11 fours and five maximums against the Lions’ ******* before captain Liam Want joined him at the crease and added a quickfire 22 to secure the eight-wicket win.
Despite a gallant 86 not out from Lions veteran James Douglas, the Lions were starved of further contributions.
Their batting card was littered with five ducks, including both openers, Archie Atwell and Carson Dewar.
English all-rounder Kane Scott grafted 37 runs before being dismissed by Ash Sexton, while Want finished with figures of 3-7 from 2.5.

In the final match of the round, a major batting collapse from Tambellup handed Broomehill victory on the road.
Chasing 263 for victory, Tambellup made a sound start through skipper Flynn Cristinelli and Shane Willmott, who added 78 for the first wicket before Rohan Bignell trapped Flynn Cristinelli in front on 57.
Willmott, who scored an important 91, continued to tick the scoreboard over with Jedd Herbert, with the pair adding 82 for the third wicket.
But when youngster Bryce Hinchcliffe bowled Herbert for 27, it started a batting collapse, with Tambellup losing 8-30 to be bowled out for 237.
Bandicoot’s all-rounder Jack Batchelor snared 4-29 from 8.2 overs as the visitors pinched a 26-run win in Tambellup.
Earlier, Batchelor scored 87 at the top of the order, whacking 10 fours and one six in a 124-run opening stand with veteran David Hinchcliffe (37).
Max Jordison closed their dominant batting innings with an unbeaten 67 from 68 ****** to help the Bandicoots post 3-263 from their 45 overs.

Who is Behind the Other Ghostface Mask, Billy Loomis’ Unmasking Has Scream Fans Desperate For Next Big Reveal

A recent instance where pop culture outshines the game is the mask reveal of Billy Loomis from the widely celebrated slasher horror franchise Scream. Loomis is the original Ghostface from the first film. However, there are two masked men in the game, and the fans are now eagerly anticipating a mask reveal of the second Ghostface.
Ghostface Has A Massive Appeal In Mortal Kombat 1

The identity of Ghostface has always been a mystery, even in the movies until revealed. The movie strategically plays with the element of mystery in the films to create tension and keep players at the end of their seats before giving them the satisfaction of knowing who the ******* really is.
This was a trend set by Billy Loomis from the first film. He was the first and original Ghostface who set the tone for the entire franchise. His story is extremely personal and full of depth. His internal conflicts bring complexity to his character, which works extremely well for the film.

He is an important character for the franchise since he set the tone for the entire franchise and established the series’ formula of unmasking the villain. His reveal in Scream as one of the two killers is one of the biggest pop culture phenomenons.
Now he seems to have found its way into Mortal Kombat 1. Ghostface Mask invokes a sense of mystery and blends horror elements with the game’s cinematic and brutal fighting mechanics. There seem to be 2 masked killers in the game. With only Loomis revealed, fans are now excited to see who is behind the other mask.
Fans Are Eager To Unmask The Second Villain

Scream has had different villains in different films, but the first Ghostface still ******** as one of the most iconic villains from the franchise. This is largely why fans are excited to see who might be the second one.
This has to be one of the biggest and most highly anticipated crossovers in video game history. Mortal Kombat 1 is doing what it does best, incorporating pop culture elements to increase the game’s appeal while adding depth to its scope.
We might see the other face behind the mask soon, but until then, fans will need to stay with the mystery of it. The wait will make the reveal even better. What do you think about it? Let us know in the comments below.

Over the past 4 weeks, some pharmaceutical stocks have plummeted as markets began to anticipate such a nomination. The official announcement of his appointment only accelerated the fall. Over one month, Moderna (NASDAQ:) fell by -30.6%, Novavax (NASDAQ:) by -42.7% and BioNTech (NASDAQ:) by -11.9%, as investors feared a ******** change in US healthcare policy.
RFK Jr, who has questioned traditional medical practices and pledged to streamline the FDA, says he will refocus health agencies on nutrition and the ****** against chronic *********.
President Trump, meanwhile, has declared, “For too long, Americans have been crushed by the industrial food complex and ***** companies.”

5. Has the US Federal Reserve Cut Its Key Rates Too Soon?
The U.S. inflation report for October aligned with consensus expectations. The 12-month CPI accelerated to 2.6% in October, up from 2.4% in September. Core CPI (excluding energy and food) remained steady at 3.3%.
The housing price index rose by +4.9% year-on-year, while transportation prices stabilized at +8.2%. Wage and rent inflation remain stubbornly high, keeping service price increases difficult to slow.
Since the 50-basis-point rate cut in September, the Federal Reserve now faces a unique set of challenges:
China is stimulating its economy through fiscal and monetary measures.
The new U.S. administration is pushing for economic growth through tax cuts and infrastructure spending, leading to increased debt and inflationary pressures.
Additional tariffs and reduced immigration are also expected to fuel inflation further.
What could this mean for long-term bond yields in the coming months?

6. Many Layoffs to Come in the Public Sector?
President-elect Donald Trump announced on12 November , his plan to appoint Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla (NASDAQ:), SpaceX, and X, alongside *********** businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, to head a newly created Ministry of Government Efficiency. “Together, these two wonderful Americans will pave the way for my Administration to dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies,” he declared.
The U.S. government currently employs approximately 23,470,000 workers following a hiring spree before the presidential election.
If Musk applied the same 80% layoff rate as he did at Twitter/X, 18,776,000 public sector employees would lose their jobs…. – a figure that is, of course, unrealistic.
7. The Size of the ******** Continent in Perspective
The size and diversity of ******* is amazing! It’s essential to recognize that the continent encompasses a vast array of economies and social landscapes, from the most industrialized economies like South ******* (GDP per capita of around $7,000) to middle-income countries like Morocco and Egypt. On the other side of the spectrum, nations like Burundi (with one of the lowest per capita GDPs, around $250) highlight the profound economic disparities.

Trump’s proposed tariffs would raise prices for these products, experts say
Trump’s proposed tariffs would raise prices for these products, experts say
President-elect Donald Trump has promised a major escalation of the nation’s tariffs.
Trump has proposed tariffs of between 60% and 100% on ******** goods, and a tax of between 10% and 20% on every product imported from all U.S. trading partners.
Economists widely forecast that tariffs of this magnitude would increase prices paid by U.S. shoppers, since importers typically pass along a share of the cost of those higher taxes to consumers.
Trump’s tariffs would cost the average U.S. household about $2,600 per year, according to an estimate from the Peterson Institute for International Economics.
Some products would likely undergo much more significant price increases than others, experts told ABC News, pointing to items like electronics and toys that rely heavily on imports.
MORE: What could Trump do to lower grocery prices? Experts weigh in
“This will directly impact people’s pocketbooks,” Rob Handfield, a professor of operations and supply-chain management at North Carolina State University, told ABC News.
In response to ABC News’ request for comment, the Trump transition team rebuked concern about potential price increases as a result of his tariff proposals.
“In his first term, President Trump instituted tariffs against China that created jobs, spurred investment, and resulted in no inflation. President Trump will work quickly to fix and restore an economy that puts ********* workers by re-shoring ********* jobs, lowering inflation, raising real wages, lowering taxes, cutting regulations, and unshackling ********* energy,” Karoline Leavitt, a spokesperson for the transition team, told ABC News in a statement.
Here’s what to know about which products will be most impacted by Trump’s tariffs:
Electronics
Smartphones, tablets and laptops are among the array of electronics that would see price increases as a result of tariffs, experts said. Video cameras, headphones and video game consoles would also be impacted.
“Electronics are basically ubiquitous,” Raymond Robertson, a professor of trade and public policy at Texas A&M University, told ABC News. “I don’t know how this wouldn’t be incredibly disruptive.”
Prices of laptops and tablets could rise as much as 46%, while smartphone prices could jump 26%, according to a study published last month by the Consumer Technology Association, a trade group that represents tech firms.
Many of those goods are imported from China, which would face the steepest tariffs under Trump’s proposal, Handfield said. Since Trump plans to also impose tariffs on all imported goods, manufacturers would not be able to circumvent the tariffs by shifting production to other countries, he added.
Imports account for roughly 90% of video and audio electronic equipment sold to U.S. consumers, the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis found in 2017. Meanwhile, 88% of electronic computers and 78% of small electric appliances are imported, the BEA said.
“The prices of electronics would definitely go up,” Handfield said.
Clothes
Jeans, T-shirts, sweatshirts and a host of other apparel items are set to go up in price if Trump’s tariffs take effect, experts said.
The U.S. imports more than 80% of clothing items offered up by retailers, U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis data last year showed.
For decades, the U.S. has increasingly relied on apparel manufacturers in China, Bangladesh, Vietnam and other low-cost markets abroad, said Jason Miller, a professor of supply-chain management at Michigan State University.
“Obviously, and not surprisingly, apparel is very strongly imported,” Miller said.

The price of a set of 500 apparel goods ranging from swimwear to gloves to baby clothes could rise as much as 20% in response to the potential tariffs, according to a study earlier this month by the National Retail Federation, a trade association that represents retailers.
After the proposed tariffs, a $50 woman’s cotton sweater could cost consumers as much as $60 while the price of men’s jeans could rise from $80 to $96, the NRF found.
Toys
Dolls, stuffed animals and board games are among a group of toys highly vulnerable to tariff-related price increases, experts said.
Imports account for about 90% of toys and dolls sold to U.S. consumers, U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis data in 2017 showed.
Top U.S. toy makers are “very, very dependent on China,” Handfield said. “Almost all toys are manufactured in Asia.”
MORE: Why credit card rates remain high, even after interest rate cuts
The price of toys could soar as much as 55%, amounting to about $14 billion in lost U.S. consumer spending power, the NRF found.
The price of a $50 tricycle could jump an additional $28, while a plush toy could climb from $17 to $27.
Economists face challenges forecasting the exact price increase since it ******** unclear whether firms involved in the supply chain for products, such as toys, will take on a share of the added cost by relinquishing some profits or will pass along all of the cost to customers, Miller said.
The current body of academic research, however, suggests that many companies will add the full cost of tariffs onto the consumer.
“It is difficult to predict the exact price increase,” Miller said. “But it will be inflationary.”

Goldman Sachs forecasts S&P 500 target of 6500 for 2025-end, joins Morgan Stanley
Goldman Sachs forecasts S&P 500 target of 6500 for 2025-end, joins Morgan Stanley
By Siddarth S
(Reuters) – Goldman Sachs has forecast the S&P 500 index would reach 6,500 by the end of 2025, joining peer Morgan Stanley, on the back of continued growth in the U.S. economy and corporate earnings.
The Wall Street brokerage’s target implied an upside of 10.3% from the index’s last close of 5,893.62.
On Monday, Morgan Stanley also forecast the benchmark index would hit 6,500 by the end of next year. It estimated the recent broadening in U.S. earnings growth would continue in 2025 as the Federal Reserve cuts interest rates into next year and as business cycle indicators improve further.
Goldman said the so-called ‘Magnificent 7’ stocks – Amazon, Apple, Alphabet, Meta Platforms, Microsoft, Nvidia, and Tesla collectively will outperform the rest of the 493 companies in the benchmark index next year.
However, the ‘Magnificent 7’ stocks will outperform by about 7 percentage points only, the slimmest margin in seven years, Goldman said in a note dated Monday.
“Although the ‘micro’ earnings story supports continued outperformance of the Magnificent 7 stocks, the balance of risk from more “macro” factors such as growth and trade policy lean in favor of the S&P 493 (companies),” the brokerage said.
Goldman estimated corporate earnings to grow 11% and a real U.S. ****** domestic product growth of 2.5% in 2025.
The brokerage also warned that risks remain high for the broader U.S. equity market heading into 2025, due to a potential threat from tariffs and higher bond yields.
“At the other end of the distribution, a friendlier mix of fiscal policy or a more dovish Fed present upside risks,” Goldman added.
Trump’s victory in the U.S. Presidential election earlier this month has brought into sharp focus his campaign pledge to lower taxes and impose higher tariffs, moves that are expected to spur inflation and reduce the Fed’s scope to ease interest rates.
The brokerage also projected earnings-per-share of S&P 500 companies at $268 in 2025.

CDL 2025 Competitive Settings Revealed – Maps, Modes, and Restrictions
CDL 2025 Competitive Settings Revealed – Maps, Modes, and Restrictions
·
·
November 19, 2024
The Call of Duty League has published the full spread of competitive settings ahead of the 2025 season. On social media, the unveiling caused some issues with fans worldwide, especially concerning the mapset that has been lined up for the CDL 2025 season. It’s not amazing, and many fans are clinging to the hope that a resurgence of old maps will make their way into the pool.
CDL 2025 Season Settings Unveiled
The map list for the 2025 season of the Call of Duty League isn’t amazing, and many are wondering why Control is still a thing.
Here’s the spread:
Hardpoint: Protocol, Red Card, Rewind, Skyline, Vault
Search and ********: Protocol, Red Card, Rewind, Skyline, Vault
Control: Protocol, Vault
Having just two maps for Control is a bit of a nightmare, and it’s yet another year that fans are clamouring and asking for a different mode to fill the competitive slot. For the longest time, people have asked for something like CTF or Blitz to make a return to the Call of Duty esports scene, to no avail.
The settings put forward by the Call of Duty League in a recent guide are mostly typical and nothing has changed from last season, but it’s in the restricted items that things start getting interesting. During the pre-season window, we’ve seen plenty of GAs get lobbied around, but the official rules from Activision are something else.
As usual, the need to keep things as balanced as possible is front and centre, and with that in mind, almost every perk and streak is eliminated. Only the RC-XD and Hellstorm missiles remain in the scorestreak selection.

A new video released ahead of SpaceX’s next Starship launch shows just how perfectly the rocket booster nailed its first landing.
SpaceX launched its 400-foot-tall (122 meters) Starship vehicle for the fifth time Oct. 13, sending the megarocket on its most successful test flight so far. Unlike previous Starship launches, the vehicle’s fifth integrated test flight (IFT-5) of its Super Heavy first stage and Starship upper stage attempted to return the first stage booster to the launchpad and catch the rocket with a pair of “chopstick” arms on the pad’s tower.
The historic catch marked the first time ever a rocket stage has been caught in mid-air, and symbolized a major advancement towards SpaceX’s goal for Starship’s full reusability. Starship’s next launch (Starship Flight 6 or IFT-6) is expected no earlier than tomorrow, Nov. 19, and will follow a similar flight profile as IFT-5, with another Super Heavy return and catch at the launch tower. Ahead of tomorrow’s launch, SpaceX shared footage of Super Heavy’s first landing side-by-side with the company’s animation of what they expected the first landing might look like, and the two are nearly identical, shot for shot.
Side by side images show a rocket booster hovering in mid air to the right of a tall launch tower on the shores of a sea.

Most U.S. rocket launches occur off Florida’s Space Coast, from launchpads either at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center (KSC) or Cape Canaveral Space Force Base. For now, though, Starship launches from SpaceX’s Starbase test facility, in southern Texas. The location offers a near-equatorial launch trajectory while offering a remote enough area not to risk nearby infrastructure should a test launch experience any off-nominal events, such as a rapid unscheduled deconstruction, or “RUD,” as SpaceX CEO Elon Musk likes to call them — a few of which Starship has experienced during its development.
Related: What to expect during SpaceX’s 6th Starship test flight on Nov. 19
SpaceX’s SN10 Starship, which launched on a 6-mile (10-kilometer) high “hop test” in 2021, successfully touched down back at Starbase, only to explode about eight minutes later. Starship’s first integrated test flight (IFT-1) ended with the entire vehicle’s self destruction as it tumbled high in Earth’s atmosphere. And while SpaceX has implemented new improvements into Starship as its development has progressed, successfully catching the Super Heavy booster on the first attempt was not guaranteed. In fact, the booster was just one second away from aborting its tower approach completely.
The new video, shared to SpaceX’s account on X, shows side-by-side footage of Super Heavy’s landing approach as it returns to the Starbase launch tower synchronized with a pre-flight animation of the same attempt.
Far from a RUD, the real-life Super Heavy booster catch performed nearly shot-for-shot the same as SpaceX’s animation. The dramatic pairing emphasizes the literal and metaphorical leaps the launch vehicle has taken over the past few years as it approaches operational qualification, which can’t come too soon for both SpaceX and NASA.
The U.S. space agency awarded SpaceX the first Human Landing Services (HLS) contract to use Starship as the lunar lander for NASA’s Artemis 3 mission. The Artemis Program aims to return astronauts to the surface of the moon for the first time since the Apollo era, and NASA is counting on Starship to transport its astronauts safely down for lunar landing. NASA has pushed its initial launch dates back for Artemis 2 and Artemis 3 due to a number of delays, and has cited Starship’s developmental timeline as pressing concern for program readiness.

Building off the success of IFT-5, tomorrow’s launch (Nov. 19) will follow a similar flight profile, with the addition of an in-space reignition of Starship’s Raptor engines.
The livestream for IFT-6 is expected begin about 30 minutes before the start of the 5 p.m. EST (2100 GMT) launch window. SpaceX’s official stream is hosted on the company’s X account, and will be simulcast on Space.com’s YouTube channel, VideoFromSpace, as well as at the top of the Space.com homepage.

Warren Gatland: Should he stay or go? – Pundits react
Warren Gatland: Should he stay or go? – Pundits react
Ex-Wales & British & Irish Lions centre Tom Shanklin praised Gatland for “transforming” the national side during his first spell in charge, but said Wales now lack an identity.
“I’ve never seen him like the way he was after the Australia game. I feel sorry for him after all he did for Welsh rugby,” said Shanklin.
“But there has to be accountability for this run and not just from the head coach, but the WRU as well.
“Warning signs have been ignored about too much focus on the national side and not enough on the regions and academies to develop players.
“Gatland offered a short-term fix when he returned, but now it’s time for a new coach with a fresh voice bringing fresh ideas.
“We can’t play physical rugby any more because we lack size or power, but we’re not seeing a plan B and there hasn’t been any progress.”
Shanklin’s fellow Grand Slam winner James ***** agreed it was time for a change after just six wins in 23 Tests since Gatland’s return.
“What is going to change if Warren is still in charge for the Six Nations?” he asked.
“You don’t want to see anyone lose their job, but it feels that something has to change to freshen everyone up, players and fans.
“But we also need to invest in other areas such as the academies. They’re not good enough and we’re setting up a lot of young boys to fail.”
