An elderly man has been charged with the ******* of Denise Govendir, more than 25 years after she was found ***** in her Sydney home.

The 81-year-old man, who is believed to be known to Ms Govendir, was arrested in the Blue Mountains by ********* squad detectives on Thursday morning and later charged.
