Fremantle council faces 400 strong petition amid mounting pressure over AUKUS trip to US

The City of Fremantle has been handed a 400-strong petition, demanding action to keep nuclear submarines out of the Cockburn Sound.

The council came under scrutiny on Wednesday night when former councillor Sam Wainwright tabled the petition from locals and asked the city to withdraw its support for a $168,000 AUKUS trip to the US.
