Former Test captain Tim Paine is back in a major role in *********** cricket after winning the battle to replace Jason Gillespie as coach of the Adelaide Strikers.

It comes nearly three years after he was forced to quit his role as skipper ahead of the 2021 Ashes after revelations of improper behaviour.
