NBA 2K25 Introduces Revamped MyGM with New Perks and Stories

NBA 2K25 has several popular and exciting game modes. One of those game modes is going to get a huge rework as 2K announced a long list of new perks for its MyGM. MyGM has been a popular game mode mostly for people who like to play the game alone and create the best franchise or team ever. MyGM was pretty stale for quite some time, and it is amazing to see that they are still innovating and getting creative. Here is the list of all the new MyGM perks and more in NBA 2K25.

You can see all the MyGM Perks in the image above. These perks have six different categories with seven or more perks on each category. Those numbers alone make NBA 2K25 have more of these perks and variety over the last few years or entries. There are several noteworthy perks, mostly coming from the Training and Coaching categories, since you can basically turn anyone into a superstar with those types of perks.

However, those perks heavily require micromanagement, which is what the MyGM mode should be all about. You’ll have to look and pay attention to your perks over the season so you don’t miss out on some attribute bonuses. They even have what I’d like to call the “Tom Thibodeau” perk, where your top 5 players or starting five get all their attributes increased by 2, but your bench players’ attributes get reduced by 2.

Several perks encourage you to manage your team properly. As the general manager of the team, you are also in charge of making your franchise profitable. However, you’ll have to tread carefully because the team owners might expect the world from you, wanting championship aspirations and saving some money at the same time.

The game also introduces a new backstory, and we hope it isn’t your typical linear storytelling structure, where you are hired to win more games, and if you lose, you get told off.
