Many Warhammer 40K fans have been expecting Space Marine 2 for a long time, and now Saber Interactive is providing people with what they *******. As the days go by and the release of the title is only a month away, rumors about the game are only escalating.

Fans are keen on arguing about what they are going to find in the third-person shooter hack-and-slash game before the official release. One of the biggest arguments is that the sequel takes away a tiny but significant mechanism from the original game.

Space Marine 2 Won’t Have a Running Animation from the First Game

Some fans argue that Space Marine 2 removes the running mechanic from the first game and replaces it with a different one. In the sequel, marines who previously ran at high speeds will now move at a slower pace.

While many theories have been put forward, the consensus among fans is that this decision was made for reasons of balance and wanting to show off a real space marine run.

This appears to be the right move, at least for now, as increasing the speed of the already quite fast marines may make the title overly fast and perhaps not fun to play overall.

When Will Space Marine 2 Release and What Will It Offer to Fans?

Space Marine 2 will be released for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on September 9, 2024. Fans who pre-order the Gold Edition or Ultra Edition will be able to start playing four days before the official release date.

Saber Interactive describes the game exactly as follows;

Embody the superhuman skill and brutality of a Space Marine. Unleash deadly abilities and devastating weaponry to obliterate the relentless Tyranid swarms. Defend the Imperium in spectacular third-person action in solo or multiplayer modes.

Players will have to use the deadly powers and destructive weapons of humanity’s strongest guardians, the Space Marines, to eliminate the constant threat of the Tyranid swarms.

Whether the game is single-player or multiplayer, players will play in any mode they choose to protect the Imperium from ****** raids.
