“Due to a manufacturing defect, the fuel pump impeller may become deformed under certain environmental conditions, interrupting the fuel supply,” the company says in its recall notice.

“If this occurs, the engine could stall resulting in a sudden loss of motive power.

“A sudden loss of motive power whilst driving may increase the risk of an accident causing injury or ****** to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”
