Cleveland Dodd inquest: Special treatment for Unit 18 boy after damning court ruling angered other detainees

A boy involved in a damning Supreme Court case against the Department of Justice was made “top of the list” for out-of-cell hours at the notorious Unit 18, Cleveland Dodd’s inquest has been told.

The youth was party to one of two cases before Justice Paul Tottle in which he ruled the department was acting unlawfully by keeping juvenile detainees in their cells for more than 20 hours a day.
