Subiaco shopfront saved from demolition after lengthy battle between developer and council

A strip of Subiaco buildings more than 100 years old is one step closer to being saved from demolition after planning authorities rejected a controversial redevelopment bid.

The Development Assessment Panel met on Tuesday to consider for the second time if developer Sanur should be allowed to bulldoze the properties at 424-440 Hay Street and redevelop the site.
