) — A Murray man is facing felony charges after allegedly running a prostitution ring out of his West Valley massage parlor, according to court documents.

Larry Echols, 60, of Murray has been charged with a second-degree felony pattern of unlawful activity, third-degree felony exploiting prostitution, and misdemeanor aiding prostitution. He has also been given a notice of intent to seek ********* forfeiture of his property and funds.

Detectives said they began receiving multiple complaints in October 2023 about a massage parlor that was allegedly propositioning customers for ****.

Through their investigation, detectives learned Echols had allegedly reserved a room at a nearby hotel. According to court documents, Echols kept the room on reservation for the majority of the investigation. Police say they regularly saw people leaving the West Valley spa and going to the nearby hotel.

Echols allegedly would notify hotel staff of the women who were staying in the room but was unable to provide any identification for them. During one change of guests, a hotel staff member reportedly overheard one of the women say Echols had her passport before he allegedly pulled the woman outside.

Two officers reportedly went undercover at the massage parlor. Both officers reported the massages became overtly ******* in nature, with one being propositioned for ****. The two officers reportedly denied the offers and left the parlor.

Detectives ********* multiple search warrants to investigate the hotel room, the spa, and Echols’ home. In the process, police say they recovered over $33,000 which they believe may have come from the alleged prostitution ring.

Charges are allegations only. All arrested persons are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
