This happened when The Coalition took charge as series developers with Gears of War 4 and introduced a new storyline involving Kait and JD as central characters. The storyline was interrupted by the recent announcement of Gears of War: E-Day, a prequel set 14 years before the first game. However, the third instalment in the Kait and JD trilogy could hold something exciting for fans. Enthusiastic Fan Asks a Question Which Might Very Make the Plot for Gears of War 6 While long-term fans were incredibly excited to see Marcus Phoenix and Dominic Santiago in the trailer for E-Day, some were also confused. That is because the series had already begun a revamp, eventually leading to the strange ending of Gears 5. However, a fan asked a question about the game’s lore, particularly about enemies that were seemingly nowhere to be found for a very long time: This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up by This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up in This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up The player highlighted an interesting point about the game’s lore and posed a question about other locust enemies apart from drones. While players have yet to see these enemies, they may appear in the upcoming games. That is because the game’s lore is profound and has a lot of mysteries and unanswered questions. This seems to be one of them, as most players admitted that the fate of the ****** types mentioned here wasn’t revealed: This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up by This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up from discussionin This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up All of these, however, are just fan theories at this point. E-Day is a project in the Early Stages, so speculating about the titles in the series that would come after it might not be the best idea. E-Day Might Set the Stage for Gears of War 6 if It Is a Successful Entry data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///ywAAAAAAQABAAACAUwAOw==It all rests on Marcus Phoenix and Dominic Santiago’s shoulders (again). Image Credits: Xbox Game Studios. There must be a strong reason why the Gears of War series took a detour after Gears 5, and The Coalition seems to be working hard to ensure its revival. If the plan is successful, we might see titles coming after Gears of War: E-Day, too. While it is pure speculation, it could have been that Xbox deemed it fit to take the series to its good old days because of its downfall and poor reception of titles since Gears of War 4. And only after that would The Coalition be allowed to complete their trilogy. And the third piece in The Coalition’s puzzle might have the enemies mentioned in OP’s post in the game’s subreddit. A commenter on the post already believes so: This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up by This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up from discussionin This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up Understandably, fans were pleasantly surprised when E-Day was announced at the Xbox Game Showcase. However, some fans were waiting for the next installment in the Kait/JD trilogy so that it could be completed. However, hopes of getting closure on that storyline may rest on how Gears of War: E-Day fares in the video game industry. Do you think Gears 6 might be possible if E-Day is a success?
